Jason tries with Damian. Really, he does. He sees himself in the kid, from the anger to the loneliness to the violence. So he tries to be there, tries to listen, tries to use his own experiences with shitty parents and training with Talia and all that to bond with the kid and tell him it's okay. If Jason made it through so can Damian.

But...he's not good at it. He can see he's not good at it. He's not getting through to the kid, and frankly, might be making it all worse. So he finds himself doing the opposite of what he means - he keeps pushing the kid away. Ignoring calls, making sure they don't patrol together. "I'm not good enough for this." He tells himself. "Even Tim would do a better job for this kid than I am."

If you love someone, you let them go. And god, Jason is trying. But the kid keeps showing up, looking sadder and more lonely every time. So he lets Damian in, shows him that kindness one more time, gives him that hope - then slams down all those walls again, accidentally giving Damian that emotional whiplash that ruins any and all progress they might have hoped for.

And the cycle always continues. Jason tries, Jason hates himself, Jason's weak, Jason makes it worse.

Truly, will no one ever think of Tony Stark? I’ve had it with Marvel and its fans disregarding Tony Stark at every turn. When will we get long lingering shots of Tony Stark reacting to every single thing that happens? When will we get to see Tony Stark hijack every single film he appears in to make it about him even though he has literally nothing to do with it? When will we get a ridiculously long flashback of Tony Stark’s daddy issues in a Captain America movie? The injustice is breathtaking.

Lol honestly I’m just picturing Kara flying through the air, holding to Barry by the arms who is shouting up at her (over the sound of the air whipping past) like “put me down!”

And she’s totally nonchalant like “just accept that I’m saving you” :)))

But I haven’t got anything beyond that coming up for it, nor is that properly shippy, so this one is also up for grabs :)
