So people are saying this map in the files for mario kart 64...

Is actually the castle town from this screenshot of Zelda 64. (which was a game that was reworked into OOT)

However I have some evidence pointing towards the fact that it isn't. I think it is actually a scrapped track for the game.

The middle, right side and the bottom left corner of the track have textures that look like road.

I also don't see a castle anywhere. And even if you see one, an interview with someone who worked on Mario Kart 64 said this:

Also, this was in the files for Mario Kart 64. Yes, games can have beta files for other games in their files. (For example, beta splatoon assets in mario maker) but from what I have seen from Nintendo games, it's an uncommon case.

This OoT styled Beamos was left over from the early stages of the original Twilight Princess. This was carried over into the HD version.
