I wanted to create this opportunity to let people share their top 3 fics by either hits or kudos, followed by top 3 fics by personal favorite (and share where they do or don’t line up!)
So... My top three fics by Kudos are:

Friends, I have still no idea what about it sets it apart from the other ~100 one-shots I've written. I just can't get behind it. It's my second fic ever, so it has hardly a consistent structure let alone a polished style. My only guess is, that it's a Zelmo fic at its core—playful and with a heartwarming end.
Stolen Kisses with 1,166 Kudos.
This one, I understand. Forbidden love is a popular trope, AoC came out during a time when fandom was busy because of the pandemic, and I've been posting this one consistently, so it was easy to follow. I haven't read it in a long time, so my feelings are a bit muddled. I still like what I remember, so I'm fine with this ranking.
Inspiration, Illusions, and other Inconveniences with 945 Kudos.
Well, what can I say. It's a fast-paced long fic with porn, both in writing and art. Additionally, it has some kind of meta level because it's a fanfiction writer/artist AU, so I totally get why it's popular. When I posted it, I was super surprised it was so well-received because everything had already calmed down a bit since the pandemic and numbers were back to "normal" (whatever that is), but in hindsight, I see why. I like it, but it's not my fav.
So. Now my personal favorites... Let's say, my favorite is nearly always the one I'm working on or the one I want to work on next. Nowadays it's a serious post TP long fic that I'm burning to pick up again. But that's not the question, so here it goes:
The Promise with 741 Kudos.
It's the story I worked on the longest and I do think it has some of my best writing, too. I know the Regency Era and all its rules are a bit of a special interest topic, but I enjoyed exploring the boundaries of the setting a lot. I'm very close to finishing it and I think that's an achievement itself after starting it in November 2022.

All-time favorite. I just think there should be more fics where Zelda tries to get rid of Link by kissing him in public, so I wrote the first. If anyone knows of more, send them my way.
Flour, water, salt, yeast, love with 586 Kudos.
It's a good fic with all the things I like, so it's one of my favs. Sometimes it's this easy.
Well, my favorites don't necessarily align with my top three, but they're far from unpopular, so I don't really know what to make of this. 😂
Honestly, the number of Kudos depends on so many different factors, it's hard to reduce a story to this number. The advent calendar (flour...) for example updated daily for 24 days, so if you've been busy in December 2021, big chance you would have missed it. Stolen Kisses has nearly the same number of chapters, but updated two-weekly during the pandemic over the span of half a year, so it had a lot more opportunities to get seen by readers. 🤷🏼♀️

A Royal Matchmaking Scheme
Rhoam has waited patiently for Link to ask him for Zelda's hand. He really has! But enough is enough. He can't keep away the young noblemen from her forever, so he makes an airtight plan to finally bring Link and Zelda together: a winterly journey through Hyrule for just the two of them should be romantic enough to encourage them making a move.
And things are moving—just not the way Rhoam thought they would. But Rhoam wouldn't be the King of Hyrule, if he didn't have answers to that, too.

I also still love Flour, water, salt, yeast, love. It's been years, but I still like the short chapters and how they transport the character arcs and the story.
As a regular in Link's bakery, Zelda asks him for a favor for Hylia's day. A mistake leads to them fake-dating until at the end of the holidays neither of them knows what is fake and what is real anymore.
Next is Somebody That I Used to Know. I write a lot of playful things, but occasionally I can and will write a serious story, too. Once I'm finished with The Promise, I'll pick up a TP wip again that falls into this category, too.
Decades after Link promised to return to the castle, Zelda steps down from the throne to search for him. She journeys through Hyrule as Sheik, trying to find a trace of a man gone up in smoke to speak to him one last time.
Speaking of TP: No Place Like Home is one of my favs not because I adore the story so much but because it steams from a discord conversation that was a lot of fun. (Fun fact: several people have told me, this story made them ship TP zelink. Make of that what you want 😂)

So, und nun das ganze nochmal für spatort.
Mein Favorit ist definitiv: Mach die Augen zu und küss mich (mach mir ruhig etwas vor). Adam, der vor Sehnsucht fast vergeht, ist eins meiner liebsten Themen zum Schreiben und diese Geschichte ist vollgepackt damit.
Als Leo jemanden kennenlernt, ist Adam sofort klar: Wenn er Leo das auch noch kaputt macht, war's das mit ihrer Freundschaft. Also heißt es, die eigenen Gefühle wegdrücken und das Richtige tun.
So findet er sich plötzlich in der ungewohnten Rolle des vernünftigen besten Freundes wieder und als ob das nicht schon schwer genug wäre, haben sich scheinbar auch noch alle gegen seine Mission verschworen.
Weiter geht's mit Advent mit gewissen Vorzügen. Diese Geschichte haben wir (falleraatje, miacolada, mieze_dorothee und ich) kurz vor dem Advent quasi im speedrun geschrieben und ich bin immer noch erstaunt darüber, wie gut das geklappt hat und wie zufrieden ich immer noch damit bin. Auch mein erstes Mal smut auf Deutsch, aber das ging mir doch recht locker von der Hand.
Dummen Ideen konnte Adam noch nie widerstehen und wenn sie in Form von 24 Türchen und einem nackten Leo daher kommen, schon mal gar nicht. Caros Geschenk — ein Erotik-Adventskalender — kommt ihm da gerade recht, um Leo endlich mal so richtig nahe zu kommen.
Gefühle? Wer redet denn hier plötzlich von Gefühlen?
Die Macht der Gewohnheit war die Idee, wegen der ich eigentlich überhaupt angefangen habe, für spatort zu schreiben. Aber wie das so ist mit Ideen, die sind nicht gern allein, also gibt's inzwischen ganz viele spatort Geschichten von mir.
Leos erster Arbeitstag nach der langen Zwangspause wäre alles andere als angenehm, hätte Adam nicht eine neue Angewohnheit entwickelt, die alles leichter macht. Oder: Fünfmal küsst Adam Leo auf die Stirn und einmal ist es andersherum.
Ich war überwältigt davon, wie viele liebe Menschen mich auf dem MOP auf meine "Treffen sich zwei Polizisten"-Reihe angesprochen haben. Damit habe ich überhaupt nicht gerechnet und ich hab auch immer noch ein warmes Gefühl im Bauch davon. Deshalb darf die hier nicht fehlen, repräsentiert vom ersten Eintrag der Serie: Passenger Princess.
Während einer Observation steigt versehentlich ein ziemlich heißer Typ in Leos Auto ein und Leo merkt das erst, als er schon mitten in einer Verfolgungsjagd ist.
So ein Pech aber auch.

Adam schickt an seinem ersten Tag aus Versehen eine Mail an Alle, aber eigentlich interessiert er sich nur für einen der Kollegen, der antwortet.
I crossed 1,000,000 words uploaded to Ao3 with this chapter which feels slightly insane. Then again, it's been six years of writing for me, so it's not all that surprising, but still!

“This was a terrible idea,” Zelda whispered next to him, clinging to his arm. The featherlight chiffon of her sleeve pooled over the embroidery of his waistcoat, getting caught on it with every tiny movement. She was wearing the light blue dress his mother had purchased for her in Zora's Domain, fetched by an expensive courier so that it had arrived on the evening before the ball. Just this morning the local seamstress had given it her last touches.
Link scoffed, closing his eyes to escape this awful state of affairs if only for a moment. Zelda looked radiant, her hair now long enough again to fall down to her shoulders in soft waves with the occasional flower and ribbons weaved in. Still—he could hardly enjoy her beauty because, yes, the ball had been a terrible idea.

I had a flash of inspiration this morning, so I wrote a fic for zelink week by @zelinkcommunity . It's alttp because I love them and they need more fics.
Zelda had expected a descendant of the Knights of Hyrule to save her, a courageous, chivalrous man of a noble heart. Not whatever this was.
