War leaves its trail~ In moonlight so pale~ Its shadows they flow~ In rivers, in rivers~ So put on my mask~ I'll go where they ask~ So I might once again see the~ Roses of May~

From a tale recalled by the Higuri Regalia’s newest Gem Connoisseur, a single flower blooms its way into the realm of high fashion.  But every rose - no matter how beautiful - has its thorns.  A chivalric garb makes its mark in the T.A.E., paying homage to a legendary knight of Alexandria: the esoterically-named Third Astral Rose.

Though Alexandria is the ninth shard, the inspiration of the name comes from a ballad sung for a lonely knight who served her kingdom to her dying breath during the Storm Surge.  Zelenia Triantafylli was her name, and though she was second-in-command to Alexandria’s Royal Knights, she was no less fierce on the battlefield.

The Third Astral Rose is an elegant duster-coat hybrid with a scarlet-colored collar and a sleeve which covers a single arm, with frills that give off the appearance of scale mail.  Armored gauntlets and boots are also provided to this ensemble for practical purposes without sacrificing comfort.  Dancing all around the length of the coat are embroidered patterns giving the appearance of runic markings, said to carry a scintilla of the knight’s deceptively powerful, rose-adorned magicks, and may even ward its wearer from harm.  It apparently also gives off the faint aroma of roses.

Alexandria’s emblem - a divine longsword flanked by seraphic wings - is emblazoned on either side of the coat, and Zelenia’s own weapon, Save the Queen, completes the attire in the form of electrope-forged earrings that can come as a single or paired item.  A surefire addition to any aspiring knight’s wardrobe, the Third Astral Rose will be your gear of choice to bring glory to Alexandria, haute couture, or your sworn liege of choice!

New Alexandrian lore!

I love it so much!!! I love learning about the old Alexandria, Preservation, and even in a sad situation, it's exciting to 'see' Otis again (I love him so much).

I've been so curious about the circumstances surrounding Sphene's "death..." and trying to figure out Calyx's involvement... and getting the story told from Zelenia's perspective is perfection. Can't wait for part 2!!!
