“Are you sure this is the right way? The database is the opposite direction.”
Zelith questioned her partner, or rather the idiot who insisted to come along, she really shouldn’t have taken Quentin along but the guy wouldn’t stop pacing & she knew he was dying to get out of Pantheon, sick of looking at the walls of his room.
“Keep talkin’ an’ we’ll get caught, know what I’m sayin’ doll? S’down here, unmarked on the map where else would it be?”
They shouldn’t be infiltrating Zenith at all but their CEO of Pantheon hadn’t budged about getting information about their rival. Zelith as second in command took it upon herself, get in & out, nobody the wiser. Or so she thought. Quentin had warned her the whole way it was a bad idea.
“Ya’ still sure ‘bout this? Gonna make the boss mad ya’ know? I don’t want ta’ piss him off.”
Zelith ignored him for a moment, picking the lock on a door & slipping inside, she first looked for an exit in case they had to split, spotting a vent & putting a chair under it. Looking up at a few old monitors, she smirked.
“Think this is a bad idea? You can help me Quentin or go by yourself. There’s tons of info, blueprints, that kind of shit. Romanis will be too impressed to be angry.”
The blue glow of the screen illuminated her face as she began to type, USB plugged in & ready to download. Quentin groaned, closing the door quietly & poking around for files he could stuff in the backpack he carried. Listening intently for any unwanted company.
