the fine line betweeen night and day class, the ever so unremarkable time gap in which two worlds meet, the gentle clash of disparate elements - it was jinri's favorite time of the day. it had made her turn into an early bird ( among vampires, that is ) and made her earn raised eyebrows by her family whenever she bolted out of the house before anyone else even had their first sip of coffee. she liked catching the sights of tired humans after an exhausting day, their heads hanging over thick books, sitting around tables and chatting about with ther friends, doing whatever humans do. it made her realize over and over again that in the end, both kinds weren't so different. no matter how much her parents tried to convince her of the exact opposite, in obvious or subtle manners. today was no different. she had prayed her usual prayer that included the wish for mcdonald's to carry breakfast in the early evening when she entered the store only to be disappointed again. then again, she could have chicken nuggets at just about any time of the day. so she made it her mission to devour a 9-piece meal while going through her assignment when the inevitable happened. gravity had claimed one of the juicy, golden pieces, pulling it onto the floor of the university cafeteria. 'three second rule', she thought without hesitation and picked it off of the dusty ground without looking left and right, stuffing it into her mouth before any more harm could be done. when jinri straightened herself on her chair, she looked right in the face of a witness. he was familiar, yet she had troubles exactly pinpointing to which family or group of friends he belonged to. "you ... didn't see anything", she said, not trying to make it sound like an order and yet still not ashamed of her gross actions.
