I Finally Beat Dragon Quest 4 on the Nintendo Dual Screen Portable Gaming Console! Congratuations For Me Right?
Dragon Quest 5 has been my JRPG time sink for the last 3 months, and I'm okay with that! (Spoiler warning) The multi-generational structure of the game's story is a brilliant way to constantly remind you of the back-and-forth struggle between good and evil, plus it gives you a periodic feeling of being an underdog. Every time I got pretty strong and was confident, some catastrophe or big baddie came through and devastated us. That feeling of adversity to overcome was intriguing, both from a game play and mechanics standpoint. It provided this fury to get back some I had lost - peace, victory, a certain state of circumstances - and I loved it!
