Fluttershy And Family
Fluttershy's cottage sits on the edge of Ponyville, right before the jaws of the Everfree Forest. Is it not a study in contrasts that Ponyville's most timid citizen makes her home in one of its more hazardous environs?
As a Pegasus Pony originally hailing from Cloudsdale, even Fluttershy could not be entirely devoid of a sense of wonderment and adventure. While Rainbow Dash finds her challenges and excitement in yet another stunt pulled off successfully, Fluttershy finds both a task, and her meaning in caring for Equestria's always loveable woodland creatures. They often have frequent and great need of her healing and nurturing ministrations.
As the Element of Kindness, perhaps Fluttershy above any pony else truly lives her aspect to the fullest on a daily basis.
Fluttershy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shy, two retiring but gentle and upstanding citizens of Cloudsdale. The three of them share the dubious honor of being Zephyr Breeze's parents and sister. Goodie.
Still, a pacifist pony as hesitant as Fluttershy needs a foil, and that is not to be found in Discord's fawning attentions. The bunny rabbit Angel more than fills that role quite well, he is very capable of making himself understood, his small size not withstanding.
