An Audience With Her Majesty In The Courtyard

Let us have a look at this charming little gathering that Princess Celestia is hosting in the courtyard of Castle Canterlot. We see Filthy Rich making the most of himself for the amusement of Fleur De Lis. Diamond Tiara is proud of her father for standing next to Princess Celestia, but Spoiled Rich does not seem particularly thrilled at this moment for some reason.

Stellar Flare waxes dramatical about something, while Firelight contentedly allows her to take the lead, and Princess Celestia listens attentively in good faith.

Fancy Pants and Hoity Toity discuss something which hardly concerns the rest of us, but if I were you I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Suri Polomare: Equestria's Everyday Enemy

Perhaps the ultimate evil is staggering most of all for its utter banality and its mundane mediocrity. The Legion Of Doom combined entirely rotten dispositions and irredeemable personalities with limitless ambition and unreasoning malice. They were very obviously serious problems which needed to be dealt with. And of course, ultimately they most decisively were.

As for Suri Polomare, I know of no other pony, save Cozy Glow, who is as purely a psychopath. The difference is that Suri is a practical pony, she has contented herself with far more feasible goals. Suri wants neither to remake the world in her own image, nor to destroy it. Suri doesn't want to hurt you physically, she has just a faint whisper of the impulse control that tells her that some means are eventually self-defeating. And Suri is dead set on winning.

Suri wants to take the very special thing that you've finally earned, right out from under you, just as it comes into your grasp. Suri wants to use you to make herself look better, while seeing to it that no one who "matters" ever hears about you. Suri lies, cheats, steals and fawns in entirely self-serving ways, and for what? For the very same things that you want, but the concept of earning them honestly is alien and abhorrent to her.

Many of us may have met a Cozy Glow, but most of us never really did meet a Queen Chrysalis, or a Grogar, or a Lord Tirek. But most of us have met a Suri Polomare, whether or not we even realized it at the time. The Legion of Doom was defeated and neutralized. No pony ever did anything about Suri Polomare. Rarity chose to take the high road, because she had something of value with which to repay Coco Pommel for helping her. We allow the Suri Polomares to go on being awful. Suri's not much of a pony, she's more like us.

Those printed tee shirts might be 20% cooler, but they are $28.99 before tax. They might have been on sale today, but I am just not a thirty dollar tee shirt person. And besides, prints that heavy don't stand up well to repeated washings, so what is it gonna do besides take up space in a drawer for 99% of the time I own it?

Eeow! Sticker shock. Anyway, I am neither a tween, nor do I wear jewelry, so I went for two (2) of the tumblrs, one (1) for me, and one (1) for my brother, who is also a brony. Applejack says it's important to share.

The lid is robust, clear acrylic, with a functional rubber gasket that actually works, and the straw is made of thick walled quality plastic. Three ounces is the perfect serving size for snort shots, when you want your alcohol to totally bypass the blood brain barrier. And with the Mane 6 styling, you'll be the life of every single pony party you grace with your presence. The stainless steel is solid enough to do its job, it shouldn't deform under normal use or be utterly ruined, if you happen to drop it for some reason.

Twilight and Rarity are my FAVE Mane 6isters, so I am happy to have scored a Rarity with this purchase.

I still remember what it feels like to feel this way about another person.

Rarity and company have arrived at Plaza Frontenac, a posh shopping experience featuring all of the finer things; COACH, GUCCI, OMEGA, NEIMAN MARCUS;

There's a small atm where you can buy bitcoins, but they're going to cost you about $84,000 a pop. There's also an Aston Martin with 8,900 miles on it, on display by the escalator, and it's still worth more than ten (10) of the type car I drive.

Whether you're rich or poor, human or pony, it's nice to have money. And style never goes out of fashion.

Luisa And The Miner's Widow Rout Queen Chrysalis

You are seeing Queen Chrysalis in the process of getting her ass kicked. She foolishly traveled between the worlds to the Dungeons Of Hinterberg, specifically the Kolmstein dungeon Icicle Trail. Chrysalis had uncovered some vague clue that there might perhaps be a relic of great power, which could further her nefarious plans to dominate all of Equestria. In point of fact, there is nothing for Queen Chrysalis in any of the dungeons of Hinterberg. Its magic is strictly localized to that charming and picturesque corner of the Austrian Alps.

Unfortunately for mean old Chrysalis, she has run into Luisa, who instantly sees her for what she is. The Magic of Hinterberg itself reacts to Crysalis' presence like an immune system attacking a virus. And in a big reversal of the usual state of affiars, it has sent an obliging Miner's Widow to back Luisa up.

Poor Queen Chrysalis isn't up for the Widow's tornados of fire, or her catastrophic rock falls, and she can swing her really big mining axe with extreme prejudice.

As for Luisa, even on a bad day, she is an opponent against whom most monsters in Equestria do not stand much chance of being anything more than a mere annoyance.

The Electric Horses have awoken, and their high voltage force fields do nothing to reduce the danger posed by this fight.

Queen Chrysalis disengages and bids a hasty retreat.

The Solar Cross

Knowing that Princess Celestia is ever present, in the rays of sunlight, across all four quadrants of the sky, it encourages me to keep looking up.

Fluttershy And Family

Fluttershy's cottage sits on the edge of Ponyville, right before the jaws of the Everfree Forest. Is it not a study in contrasts that Ponyville's most timid citizen makes her home in one of its more hazardous environs?

As a Pegasus Pony originally hailing from Cloudsdale, even Fluttershy could not be entirely devoid of a sense of wonderment and adventure. While Rainbow Dash finds her challenges and excitement in yet another stunt pulled off successfully, Fluttershy finds both a task, and her meaning in caring for Equestria's always loveable woodland creatures. They often have frequent and great need of her healing and nurturing ministrations.

As the Element of Kindness, perhaps Fluttershy above any pony else truly lives her aspect to the fullest on a daily basis.

Fluttershy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shy, two retiring but gentle and upstanding citizens of Cloudsdale. The three of them share the dubious honor of being Zephyr Breeze's parents and sister. Goodie.

Still, a pacifist pony as hesitant as Fluttershy needs a foil, and that is not to be found in Discord's fawning attentions. The bunny rabbit Angel more than fills that role quite well, he is very capable of making himself understood, his small size not withstanding.
