A week or so ago I saw some talk about crossovers between Harry Potter and the Star Gate Fandom... I am a real novice in the SG-1/SGA Fandoms... therefore I'm struggling with this plunny for a crossover. It won't seem to go away but neither is it very well formed into a coherent idea. My idea is that the secret in both fandoms is the same secret the so called "veil of death" in the Department of Mysteries is actually an ancient primitive Star Gate. Sirius and all the others who have gone through the veil are stuck because the veil is broken/locked to be one way only. Hermione is related to Rodney McKay ( maybe Hermione's mum's brother ?) Hermione discovers true nature of veil and gains the attention of the SGC... Harry refuses to allow Hermione to go kiting-off through the universe without him... and they end up rescuing Sirius and being part of exploring the magic of other planets... sound like a do-able story or no?

A story premise for Harmony beginning pre-Hogwarts....The first time Harry exhibited accidental magic... a Potter house-elf appeared at #4 Privet drive and since the blood-wards were in force ensuring Harry had to live with Petunia to be safely hidden from the Death Eaters... the elf used an undetectable expansion charm on the cupboard under the stairs... thus making it larger than the Dursley's entire house. the Potter elf is able to access furniture and such from the Family vaults and make Harry's "room" like a manor house... Harry has to keep up the facade that being locked in the cupboard is a hardship .... sometime during these early years he meets Hermione and the elf recognizes that she is magical so helps Harry smuggle his friend into his house when she pops over for a visit not knowing the Dursleys are off with Dudders for the day...

Post War Cannon divergence: The Goblin's are a bit hacked-off due to the break-in and Dragon theft. Harry and Hermione are summoned to Gringotts soon after the funerals are over after the final Battle... The Goblins are demanding a Million Galleons in reparations EACH from them... Harry has the galleons but they won't accept his payment for Hermione unless they are married.... What to do? Hermione is resistant: she will go to court... She will work for the Bank until the debt is cleared... She will make an arrangement to give the goblins half of every paycheck from whatever job she gets.... etc. Harry has loved her his whole life... He's on board... but he has to convince Hermione... For purposes of this story either Ron died in final battle, or Bill was able to intercede on Ron's behalf and get him a separate deal.

Harry and Hermione discover a plot (can be by Voldemort or by the Weasleys or by some as yet unknown faction) this plot will see harry lose all of his family magic and wealth... Hermione discovers a ritual that will provide Harry with greater magical power, as well as a protective ward to guard him against the plot and other similar manipulation... The only snag is it is a sex ritual and it will result in Harry being bound for life to the one who participates in the ritual with him. #shagathon

Marriage Law / Forced Arranged Marriage AU: Imagine the Goblet of Fire being used for other things besides choosing champions for stupid contests.... It has to have other uses right? Anyway imagine it used to chose candidates for marriage matches in old pureblood families all completely voluntary i.e. parents submit their children's names say at their 7th birthday or after... now this "powerful magical artifact" is somehow involved in an accident where it comes into contct with the "Registry of Magical Births" and/or The "Register of Hogwarts Enrollment".. suddenly there are hundreds of Magically Binding Contract" Marriage matches.... Harry and Hermione are obviously paired up Author's choice as to ages of when this takes place and what consequences there are. Does this sound at all feasible/interesting? If you place ths happening after 4th year, Imagine Harry paying Hermione's fines for marching into the Ministry and destroying that "...Stupid, Ridiculous, Worthless cup...."

Harry and Hermione haven't spoken in nearly a year.... He broke off contact when she and Ron announced their engagement... Ginny tried one more time to get him back into a relationship and he got so pissed-off he quit the Auror training program and took a position with The Gladiators Quidditch team in Rome... Back in Britain for a game with Puddlemere United, Harry runs into Hermione in a Pub where's she was having a Hen's night after a day of dress shopping and fittings just over three months from the wedding... Ginny and Molly weren't in attendance (author's choice on the reason.) Harry has a few drinks with the ladies and ends up in Hermione's bed.... Time jump a week before the wedding, Hermione gets told her symptoms are {not} pre-wedding nerves; but in fact she's three months pregnant... Our girl has to finally tell Ron marriage is a no go and then track down the love of her life and tell him he's gonna be a dad. Maybe call it: Harry Potter and the Forgotten Contraceptive Charm

Post first date conversation once Harry and Hermione have finally surrendered to their romantic feelings for each other... Hermione: "Oh, Honestly Harry, it was just a kiss...." Harry: "Just a--- Darling, If somebody asked me what your kisses taste like... I'd reply... Like forever. if details are required I say... they taste like the most decadent confection ever created... the richest most sensuous flavor to satiate the palate. Like the sunrise, after a terrible storm, or the first cooling drops of a drink of water after being parched in a desert. Honey, you kiss me and I taste my destiny...my future--our future."
