One by one, the monsters were slowly falling down from each bullet they took to the head, from each slit neck, from each hallucinogenic dart fired at them to make them rip at each other’s throats. All in all, an exciting day!
A shame Evie and Henry weren’t around to see this, though he wasn’t sure if Greenie would have a taste for this kind of destruction. He’d probably be more focused on escorting people to safety and leaving the fighting to the twins. The three of them did work better in that way, rather than all of them being on the field.
As he was focused on taking out enemies from afar, his reflexes were just a tad slower than normal, so he wasn’t too hyper aware of his surroundings. He realized that a monster was approaching him from behind and only managed to dodge the attack by a split second. The assassin aimed his gun at the beast, only for another shot to be heard and the monster falling down right in front of him - dead and unmoving. Verdant hues looked upwards, to see who his savior was. Jacob exhaled a breath, slowly standing up on his feet.
“Maybe next time, I’ll hide in a tree or somethin’. ... Thanks,
mate. Appreciate it.”
