So I've been wondering about what kind of fanfics and fanworks and fanon would spawn when certain characters join smash and stuff.
Let's go with ULTRAKILL, my current hyperfixation (even though it may be too bloody for Smash's family-friendly image), and see what this exercise leads to.
Of course the protagonist, V1, would be joining. Maybe Gabriel too since he's an important character in a way I won't say because spoilers.
Maybe smash bros fans would see their relationship through how it's first presented. Maybe they'd based their headcanons over how the memes of their fandom portray them. Maybe they'd base it on the way they're mischaracterized in subtle ways.
But how about those who look closer? For me, if ultrakill characters get in the game, I'll make them permanent residents of the smash world due to my desire to live a happy life cuz they surely went through The Horros in canon. Maybe they'd be friendlier to other people (although they may find the presence of humans jarring since mankind is dead in Ultrakill)
Anyways how you think the smash fandom would portray your blorbo if they get in your games?
That's hard to actually answer just bc of so many potential variables. How they are in canon vs how many people actually know how much of that canon vs what parts get attention in Smash vs what gets utilized most in gameplay vs is there a part of the fighter presentation that gets a lot of fan attention, etc etc etc

What does VV1 think of the various inhabitants and visitors of Hell? The terminals? The machines? The husks? The demons? Gabriel? The prime souls?
Stuff like that.
You can safely assume W1 has at least a mild passive curiosity for everything you pointed out! Hmm
VV1 sometimes likes to sit around the terminals to enjoy the music they play definitely. I think the V2 part of it’s brains knows the song. And also. really longs to hear the full version of it. To hear a human voice again. Alas.
Terminals also seem to be a hivemind of sorts! Which I’m not sure if W1 would notice at all, but it is cute to think about. It is another being that understands the comfort of constant chatter.
Other machines are largely irrelevant to VV1. . The only machine I can think of W1 having a strong impression towards would probably be the Earthmovers.
As for the huusks. erm. Depends.
There are a few I think that really peak it's interest. Like the Schisms and Mannequins.

i dont really consume the fanon content for metadede often (it tends not to be my cup of tea/line up with my interpretations for them) but they're relationship is something very fun to explore
they're literally anything but romantic to me tho
that being said in my interpretation their relationship is like:
he's his knight, he's his king, he's just a boss to him, he'd kill for him, they raised a kid together and he ended up trying to take over the planet, one is a laid back king perhaps maybe too laid back, the other is a permanent lone wolf despite LITERALLY HAVING A CREW, they know each other so well but they don't even know each other's favorite colors, they both have beef with the same kid that has and can beat them up into a pulp, they've never been straight up open to the other because god forbid. that is way too intimate, they respect each other now but it wasn't always that way
like. to me, Meta Knight just showed up on Popstar one day looking for a job and resources in order to build the Halberd and managed to end up working for DDD. it was nothing but business, and mk had absolutely negative respect for ddd because he's a shit king, but comes around Kirby's Adventure ddd actually does his duty as king and tries to protect his citizens and for once meta knight sees him more as just his boss or some tyrant, they get closer somewhat, the boss and employee relationship wanes into something more casual and then BOOM Dark Matter Trilogy comes along and sets everything back. Meta Knight grows skeptical of Dream Land's inability to protect itself and attempts a take over only to fail miserably and breaks ddd's trust, which he scrambles to repair by doing "righteous" acts like saving the mirror world (which he fails at) and preventing dark nebula from being released (which he fails at) and it's not only until Return to Dream Land that they properly meet up again, this time on equal grounds and for once they get close enough that calling each other "friend" doesn't sound far fetched

honorable mentions - ALL of the other smile, kira kira, and tropical rouge girls, they are all incredibly dear to me. also the hugtto girls. even though i havent seen most of hugtto, i'm just very attached to them bc of my attachment to cure yell. i didnt wanna have more than one or two cures of the same season so thats why i didnt include them :(
ALSO cure prism, cure sky, cure magical, cure miracle, cure milky, and based on design alone bc i know little else about them yet: cure lemonade, cure dream, cure twinkle, cure peach, cure white, and cure bloom
