As I'm reminiscing about We Were Just Kids this week, I wanted to reshare these incredible pieces of fanart from @felinae-felidae and @travs316!
I love these pieces of art so much. They are so special to me, and receiving them was actually the peak of my fanfic writing career 🫡
Petro turned to leave, but Zatt was seized with the horrible feeling that he might never see him again. It gripped his lungs, clawing at his throat. He had to say something. He couldn’t leave it like this. “Petro,” he called. His friend paused, his face reappearing. It's of Petro & Zatt during the 'shaky & steady' scene from chapter 26 of "We Were Just Kids." This moment between the two of them is one of my favorite moments in the whole fic, and it was so much fun to write. Getting to see it illustrated beautifully like this is so so special!
