“It’s you and me, remember?”
This is based on a scene from @testingforgravity ‘s “we were just kids” fanfic on ao3, it was such a gorgeously done scene I had to draw it, it also has my favourite character, so it’s an absolute win

missed opportunity for the jedi in the new maul show to be one of the younglings... just saying🤷♀️
As I'm reminiscing about We Were Just Kids this week, I wanted to reshare these incredible pieces of fanart from @felinae-felidae and @travs316!
I love these pieces of art so much. They are so special to me, and receiving them was actually the peak of my fanfic writing career 🫡
If you believe this young jedi in the tales of the underworld trailer is Petro from the Clone Wars gathering arc, I have just the fic for you!
We Were Just Kids is a completed 100k+ words story featuring your favorite Clone Wars younglings. 15 years after Order 66, a supply run gone wrong lands Katooni face to face with a group of ghosts from her past, and suddenly the young pirate is confronted with a choice: keep running from the Empire, or finally draw her weapon.
The story features everyone's favorite pirate Hondo Ohnaka, a michevious cheating little droid, Order 66 flashbacks, and lots and lots of post Clone Wars angst.
If you always wanted more of the younglings' story, give this fic a read. Join me in my twc younglings live on! universe! (I've got a sequel and some one-shots of these characters as well when you're ready for more🫡)
Zatt took another sip of ale to stall. A small part of him wanted to say the word and let her take off. See how far they could fly before the night was up. But then he thought of Petro, asleep down the hall with a tired smile on his face, and he found he couldn’t do it. He picked at the sticky label on his ale bottle as he searched Ganodi’s gaze, hunting for the truth. She’d gotten better at hiding things from him these days, but Zatt had years of practice. He chose his words carefully. “I thought you were finally on board.” “I am.” Ganodi raised a hand as if to stave off an argument. “I am. But the sun’s not up yet, and I won’t complain if you want to change your mind.”
Writing something short and youngling shaped for the first time in 7 months... feels good to be wearing this comfy old sweater
"IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PETRO!!" I scream as they drag me away
If you were also disappointed by Dave Filoni this morning, I've got just the fic for you. You can see Petro alive and well with his friends in We Were Just Kids on ao3. I hope it helps ease the pain🫡
mood since the tales of the underworld trailer dropped
Happy 1 year anniversary to We Were Just Kids!
A year ago today I posted the final chapter to a story I started back in 2021. This year, I've published multiple one-shots, created several playlists, and written over 80k words for the sequel to the younglings story. We Were Just Kids has a special place in my heart, and I love that so many people have read and are still reading this (not so) little fic💛
To celebrate, I'll be revisiting some of my favorite moments from We Were Just Kids on my blog this week. I've also got a happy little one-shot of the crew that I'm posting later today. And to cap it all off, Petro will be back on our screens next weekend in Tales of the Underworld (shout out to Dave Filoni for the anniversary gift🥳😉)
Thank you, from me and the Kyber Crew, for a year of reading💛
