1. My favorite thing about the fandom

The fact that the fandom UNANIMOUSLY agrees Gerri Kellman is the most competent leader at Waystar. Like, no one even dares question this because we've all seen her get sh*t done!

9. Is there anything in general I wish more people in the fandom talked about?

I'm not sure if my assessment would be fair and accurate, because I'm relatively new to the fandom. And maybe I'm not seeing all the conversations happening around the show? I'm just getting started with reading articles, I haven't even gotten into the podcasts, and I'm also only 10% into my rewatch. So I don't think I have a mastery (nay, even basic knowledge) of the themes, subplots covered, backstories, etc. That's why the things I write in connection to the show focus on comparing it with my experience working in media and conglomerates.

But I do think I have not seen any essays or fics that extensively explored the possibilities of how a dirt poor guy like Logan Roy created this billions of dollars worth of empire. The Succession Wiki touches on it, but it's a blip in comparison to his 80+ years of existence. It doesn't expand either on how Waystar Royco got to billions-worth (understandably so, because I think the wiki just covers canon information) and how his "killer instinct" got him to where his business was until he died.

Maybe someone can write or produce a fanmade biography book or movie about Logan Roy? I'd pay to read or see that!

🔥 on modern-day fandom in general

I think almost everyone (myself included) in modern day fandom needs to take a chill pill. There are too many rules, too many things we expose ourselves to that makes us upset. I think people also need to be nicer to each other, or need to know when to leave if they're not happy. Modern day fandom is great in a lot of ways because of the things that we create, but we need to chill and remember that the other people we're interacting with are actually people just like we are.

Oh god, lmao ok so obviously this has to be Ace Attorney.

I’m gonna say... Gant tries to learn how to sail because it will match his #aesthetic. However, instead of just joining a class like a normal person, he asks Shelley de Killer to teach him because Shelley knows everything. Shenanigans ensue. Gant crashes them on a tiny barrier island that’s 99% sandbar like it’s Gilligan’s Island. Thankfully, de Killer’s cell gets service everywhere in the world and they’re able to call Dee and Cammy to come save them. When they arrive, Gant tries to show off his knowledge of sailing by explaining the pieces of the ship, but gets everything completely wrong. Probably ends with de Killer lamenting all of his life choices, lmao

7. Are there any tropes you've been wanting to experiment with?

In another asks meme, I mentioned that I want to do a morally "good" character turning into bad; I think that's a powerful driver for drama. I don't think I'll be able to do it for my personal Season 2 take of Inganno, but I definitely have room to do this in another fic!

19. Is there a collaboration you’d like to pursue with another writer or artist?

I can't think of anyone at the moment from the Inganno / Monica Guerritore fandom. I've searched deep, wide and far, and I think I'm the only one writing for them at the moment! (I really do have a thing for fringe stories and pairings LOL)

Dee/Gant Vacation Fic + It’s Not You, It’s Me

This seems like it would be... Needlessly depressing OTL

The plot for this would likely be, Dee, Gant, and Cammy are all on vacation, but they get attacked -- either by Dee’s enemies or Gant’s, I can’t decide which. They all make it out ok, but whoever’s nemeses orchestrated the attack decides that they need to leave to deal with the problem, for the safety of the family. It’d be pretty interesting if it was Dee, because then it’s like The AU in reverse, where Gant and Cammy are by themselves while Dee’s hiding out and overthrowing governments or something.

Matt/Foggy Dance AU + Almost Kiss

All I can think of is ballet, tbh. In this case, I would say... Matt is a ballet dancer; his primary dance partner is Jessica Jones because look that girl needs to put her superstrength to good use doing lifts ok? Anyway, Foggy is part of the stage crew and he is Pining Like a Forest of Christmas Trees. He and Matt are good friends, though, and so he’s never said anything. However, one night after rehearsals are over, the light is romantic and he tries to stammer it out and they’re both leaning closer, closer-- And then we go full Phantom of the Opera and some asshole who’s been living under the theater decides to cut in and ruin everything, idk. That’s literally all my brain would accept for why they were interrupted lmao

Maybe it’s not a love triangle thing, tho, maybe it’s Stick popping up to demand that they stop this instant bc Matt is not allowed to have Feelings, only athletic ability, and that falling in love would ruin Matt’s career or whatever. What a dick. 

Lucissa Holiday Fic + Did They or Didn’t They?

It’s Christmas, and newly-engaged Lucius and Narcissa have gone mysteriously missing. Speculation abounds as to whether they’re out... You know... Especially when they show up at the very end of the Snooty Pureblood Christmas Party, together.

The truth is that they were stargazing like a couple of fucking nerds. They hold hands the entire time (scandalous!) and probably share a chaste little kiss at the end of the night.

The Bradleys The Big Damn Kiss + Flirting Under Fire

Soon after their marriage, King Bradley and his wife are the targets of an attempted assassination. They continue to flirt incessantly and probably hold hands like big dorks as they dodge gunfire. When the fighting is almost over, they kiss amidst the rubble. It’s very romantic. There’s still one shooter on the loose, who tries to get in a cheap shot. He misses because Bradley spins his wife out of the way during the kiss. The members of their security detail take down the last assassin and are probably a bit exasperated by everything.
