#GW2EoD Character Countdown
Day 8/9 - Mesmers (15.8% Play Time)
❖ Kirslyn: A storied veteran of many battles, now comfortably retired and settled in Caledon to nurture the next generation(s) as a mentor. ❖ Zhalsi: A notorious illusionist and sleight-of-hand artist, only 68.4% likely to use a clone to relieve you of your wallet while you aren’t looking. ❖ The Many Walker: A once-aspiring priestess of Dwayna, when the truth came out that she wasn’t human but norn, she fled in search of answers. ❖ Vaporwave Nightmare: A dazzling zephyrite choiress traveling independently from her fellows, spreading word of Glint and Aurene’s grace.
Zhalsi’s old phantasm build is back! This time with the added shatter power of Chronophantasma and the added surviveability of the shield 4.
I have created a bursty bunker mesmer.
It’s beautiful.
Okay so. Phantasm mesmer (aka, Zhalsi) used to be my favorite pvp arrangement pre-patch. After the patch I brought both Zhalsi’s phantasm build and Teekzi’s condi/crit ranger build in for screwing around. And I don’t know, something really stuck with me about Teekzi, seemed more fun. She used to be a utility-heavy trap ranger in pvp so actually seeing numbers was a welcome change.
Just for kicks I brought her full zerker build into pvp tonight, aaaaaand it was absolutely amazing. Not in Courtyard where I exploded instantly, but in Forest of Niflhel where there was space to move, chances to 1v1…it was amazing. One longbow 5 ended up downing 3 people who didn’t have the sense to move out of it. I took out a warrior on my own. A WARRIOR. Really really. And for the first time ever with a ranger I was the top scorer for both my team and the entire match.
So in summary, zerker ranger = very situational, but hilariously strong given the right arena/support. ;D
