China Chapter #3 (Vase in Shape of Han Dynasty Vessel), Zhang Jian-Jun, 2006, Brooklyn Museum: Asian Art
Soft, translucent cast-silicone vessel in lemon yellow, re-creating the form of a vessel type made primarily in the Han dynasty, with face-and-loop handles (pushou) on the shoulders and a flaring rim. The rim includes an intentional void, replicating breakage to an older vessel. © Zhang Jian-Jun Size: 10 1/2 x 7 1/2 in. (26.7 x 19.1 cm) Medium: Silicone rubber
