I've seen on a lot of forums that the only difference between le passé composé and le passé simple is formality.If that's true, would it be weird to use both aspects in the same paragraph?
I mean.. I guess kinda? It’s generally two completely different registers and they both work in opposition with the imperfect in the same way.
The passé simple however is deemed as being “further back” than the passé composé, as being a long way in the past with no possible influence on the present anymore, so it could be that you’d get a paragraph mostly in the passé composé which then slips back into the passé simple for something that happened way before. Maybe.
But for the most part, the passé simple is a written literary narrative tense and the passé composé is your normal everyday past tense

Why I like them: Toph’s entire character is a giant middle finger to the “disabled people are delicate” stereotype. I cannot even begin to express my love for Toph. She was the character is ATLA to whom I related the most. Toph is my child which is weird because her daughter is my bae
Favorite moment: Oh gosh too many. When she’s taking down all the fighters in The Blind Bandit and being a little badass, and basically any moment when she doesn’t take anyone’s shit. Which is always.
Favorite line: “I’m not looking for anyone’s approval.” That stuck with me.
Favorite outfit: When she metalbends herself some armour hell freaking yeah i know its not technically an outfit but it was cool

Favorite platonic relationship: Katara. They were so different and they fought a lot, but they were still lifelong friends. I could say more about the actual mechanics of their friendship but then you’d had a college thesis here.
Head Canon: Toph never wanted kids. She never planned to. She would’ve been quite happy to be unmarried and childless forever. But she loved Lin. She adored Lin and although she was terrible at showing it or expressing it, Toph still believes that the greatest thing she’s ever been called is “Lin’s mom”
Unpopular opinion: There’s nothing really that stands out in terms of unpopular opinions. Toph is my favourite and I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that I disagree with the fandom about. That is worded really badly but you understand.
A wish: I would’ve liked to have seen her interact with her parents when she was an adult. She would’ve been successful and a mother and I wish I could know how they saw her and how she saw them sorry
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: I don’t have to worry about Toph dying because she’s far too stubborn to die. Wait 100 years and she’ll justify it with “Kyoshi got to live 230 years why can’t I?” But I remember back to season 1 of Korra when people were getting their bending taken. For Toph to lose her bending would be far, far worse than death for her. I’ve made myself sad just thinking about it.
