(pt.1) hello! in regards to your tattoo (that is, if you haven't already gotten it) -- i have a 1.5 y.o. tattoo on my forearm and boy did it heal like magic. i went in expecting it to be intensely itchy and painful and bleeding ink but in the end i had no trouble at all. did not bleed ink, did not scab, there was barely any skin coming off and virtually no itchiness. what i did was washed it with hand soap and moisturised with an antibacterial cream (Bepanthen Plus, to be specific).

(pt.2) But it is very important to note that this is what my artist recommended. essentially, you should just do Exactly what the artist says, i know there’s lots of people on the internet swearing by whatever they did, but you should still listen to your artist above anyone else. that’s also one of the reasons why you want a really good artist who knows what they are doing both when it comes to the tattooing but also when it comes to maintenace etc. best of luck!
