everyone go read the wild and windy night by the amazing @zilabee Right Now if you haven’t already (which i’m sure many of you have seeing as it is one of the Best fics i’ve ever read). it was recommended to me by @scouserdistinction (thank you very much btw) and i just binged it. it both broke my heart and mended it entirely. i think the scene of john and paul screaming at each other in the rain will forever be cemented in my brain. as well as the image of the boys piecing paul’s song together. the dialogue is both cutting and soothing and it’s like being a fly on the wall, really. i can’t recommend this more, truly.

the reason why the beatles were spiralling was because Ringo was going to make the Magic Christian in a few weeks time and George, John and Paul were all acting that way because they were going to miss him and didn’t want him to run off with Peter Sellers again like he did last time when he quit the band :(
