Q: What kind of art will be allowed for this zine? Is artistic nudity allowed?
A: We are taking visual art and writing submissions! Each category of submission has different requirement parameters, so please pay attention before making a piece and submitting. You may be asked to change things later on if your submission does not meet requirements.
As stated before, art should center King in some way, shape, or form. AUs, headcanons, platonic, and romantic character interactions are all allowed!! Art should be strictly SFW as this is a 13+ event, however artistic nudity is allowed!
For digital art, pieces should have a minimum of 1700px by 2200px with a 300 dpi at minimum.
Physical art should be photographed and submitted as a JPEG file. If applicable you can take multiple photo angles of your piece!
Writing submissions should have a word count between 500 to 1,000 words. However, if this word limit is too small for you, we can include a small portion of the submission in the zine, and then provide a link to the full submission on an external platform (AO3, Google Docs, etc.).
Q: Will this zine have a second theme?
A: Technically, no. However, since so many of you submitted some really fun theme ideas through the interest form, we plan to compile those ideas into an idea masterpost, so people can pull from those themes if they need inspiration!
Q: What are important due dates to know for this zine?
A: Submissions will open September 1st and close November 1st. If all things go as planned, the zine should be published on November 15th, the first year anniversary of the game!
Q: Is this going to physically printed?
A: For now, no. However if there is enough interest in having a physical copy once the zine is completed. We will see what we can do in order to make it a physical media. But for now, it will only be online.
