So just finished reading the recent installments of the RCU and was curious about something. How would Fwhip's research team react to the fact he is now missing an arm (and possibly the subsequent replacement of it as well)?

i’m planning to include their reaction in fic, so i don’t want to spoil too much, but it would include a lot of Plash coming up with ways to kill Scott and Zip reminding her that you can’t just assassinate another ruler even though they quietly also want to. also a lot of them lecturing fWhip (somewhat hypocritically) about recklessness, but that’s a normal day in the Grimlands.

Reading the recent installment in the RCU, I can't help but wonder how Fwhip's research team is taking his darker personality change due to the fact it is the exact opposite of the one he had during Xornoth's reign. I'm also highly curious as to what compelled him to make the crown or whatever in the first place.

hi! this is a great question and definitely something we'll be expanding on in future writing, so i won't go into too much detail here as i don't want to ruin any plot points >:]

Plash and Zip are very concerned. they are of course loyal to fWhip to the death, and are trying their best to support him, but...they are concerned. as for what compelled him to make the crown...that's plot. hehehe.

RCU Anon that asked about winged Fwhip! I saw the fic and I was super excited when it popped up in my notifs :D I love how you wrote it so much (the bit at the end between him and the members of his team was great and made me smile). Curious about what the thing that made him go down into the pit was and what happened to our beloved chaotic boy after he passed out again~ The writing of the RCU fics is always so good!

Seeing as you seem to have covered most of the rulers for the ask game, I just finished the RCU fic where Fwhip got his wings so tell me a bit more about Plash and/or Zip (I enjoyed the banter between those two and their dedication to their leader)

OMG PLASH AND ZIP MY BELOVEDS!! my garbage baby mechanics. thank you so much for this ask.

Realistic: Plash and Zip are both highly intelligent and graduated from university with honors, which is why they were chosen to lead fWhip's top tier research team.

Funny: contrasting their massive intelligence, their common sense is...uh. they are both very bad at getting enough sleep, eating, and generally doing things other than working on their tech projects.

Heartbreaking: they are loyal to fWhip at a very deep level because they both started from close to nothing, and were still chosen by him for their talents rather than because they had money or assets. either one would die for him, although this is not something they'd feel comfortable saying out loud because Grimlands culture isn't expressive that way.

Fuck Canon: i mean they're both OCs so i feel like anything about them would fit here since they're not canon characters to begin with, but a big one is that i hc Plash as the one who came up with the idea to turn Xornoth's corruption into bonemeal fertilizer.
