Super Action Statue Sticky Fingers [JoJo's Bizarre Adventure // Golden Wind] from Medicos Entertainment will be re-released July 2024.
What do you think is the meaning of Sticky Fingers's zippers in relation to Bruno himself?
So, we know Araki is inconsistent on stands having meaning vs. being just a spooky dude with weird powers, but I firmly believe Sticky Fingers is designed top to bottom to represent Bruno Bucciarati's inner turmoil and deeply held desires.
Sticky Fingers design is reminiscent of a Roman Legionnaire and a gladiator -- both roles that deal unspeakable violence, one designed to uphold a regime that brutally dominated its enemies, the other a victim of that regime. As a low-level enforcer for a criminal organization, Bruno is a soldier. He follows orders and metes out whatever kind of punishment for disorder his seniors deem necessary. But he is also trapped in that role, a prisoner and a puppet. Sticky Fingers' helmet covers its eyes, calling to mind the ideas of blind justice (remember the justice system failed everyone in Bucci's team before Giorno) and seeing no evil (Bruno quite literally has to look the other way at the drug trade his organization perpetuates). These design elements are purposeful, I believe, and elevate the storytelling immensely.
The zippers have a similar dual meaning. In daily life, zippers are usually used to join, to make whole or to close up. The disparate pieces of Bruno's life cannot be joined, though. His family is broken, as is the society he inhabits, and no volume of sticky zippers could bind them back together. So instead, he uses them to tear things apart... leaving a dimensionless void wherever they're placed. Kind of like Bruno's soul, if you ask me.
Render go brrrrr
