To the context: All Saints' Day (Wszystkich Swietych) is an annual national holiday in Poland to celebrate the saints on November 1. It is also known as the Day of the Dead, as many people remember dead family and friends on this day. (timeanddate.com). It is very important and huge celebration.

So, it`s during the pandemic so our beloved government says since about 2 weeks that Poles should be prepared that on this date cemeteries are gonna be closed. We were ok with that, understandable. Probably most people thought “oh well, I`m gonna on 31st Oct, I leave flowers (there are special ones on this occasion, mostly you can buy them only in this one time in a year) and candles (there are special ones as well) on the graves”. But, yesterday our, again, beloved government said (after afternoon) “ cemeteries will be closed from 31st Oct- 2nd Nov.”

So, consequences are that sellers and traders are left with lots of flowers and candles. They are losing their money. Lots of these people stay with debts.

Good job government. If they at least a week ago said that they consider at these days to close cemeteries, people would have a chance to be prepared and sellers wouldn`t lost their money.

Second thing, government didn`t want to start situation where people be gathered in the big crowd. That works opposite: my neighbor was yesterday in the evening on cemetery- she said that there were so many people that she never had seen before in this place, because everyone wanted to be in time before cemeteries will be closed.
