A snoring kitty on my shoulder for your troubles?
It never fails to make me happy when I see one of our kitties napping in a kitty pi that I made them. Here is Zoan in his.
For the past nine years, my two litter-mate kitties have hated each other due to a case of misplaced aggression. I've missed how my cats used to spend time with me, together.
I've tried lots of things to bring them back together. Feeding them together, bringing them to a cat psychologist, swapping rooms, swapping litter boxes, clicker training, you name it I've probably tried it.
Sometimes they would start getting better, only for some type of incident to reverse months of progress.
The most recent attempt I've made I call, "Churu Diplomacy" or "Bribery Churu". Basically, I bring both cats into the same room and give them Churu (a cat treat that is basically fish or chicken paste), sitting down with them while they nom. I only give it to them when they are both together.
We had a setback last week, when Zoan attacked Issun after Churu. I was sad, as this method showed promise.. but Issun willingly came back the next night.
Last night, Issun snuck into Zoan's room so he could get some Churu. Not just willingly, but conniving his way in.
Today though?
This wasn't Diplomacy time. In fact, I had given them no treats at all. They both willingly loafed on the bed in my office together.
Best way to end a work day ever.
He had dental surgery yesterday. Unfortunately for him, he's like me in being very resistant to pain killers - his meds should have lasted a day, they lasted half of one instead. He is recovering, though!
Also, this is a giant photo of my cat. My phone even recommended that I take a super high resolution photo.

This is a life update (a day late), of sorts.. for my Zoan Kitty. Who is terminally ill, but may still have a long life ahead of him.
He's also the thumbcat for the day; he loves sleeping in my dressers or wardrobes. He's purring in my lap as I type this.
