I know it doesn't look like I got much done, but I definitely have progressed. I finished the trim on the back strap, attached the back strap to the front on the sides, attached the connectors at the back of the neck (their names escape me), and turned my 6 yards of cloth into a square(ish) of cloth with the center hole marked out. I'm freaking exhausted right now (didn't get much sleep last night) so I don't want to cut anything important until I can focus better.

So, some good news and bad news about this costume.

Bad news: the damn rhinestones aren't scheduled to arrive until next Wednesday... the day we leave for San Diego. I'm really hoping that they arrive in my town the day before so I can call and see if I can just go pick them up a day early, but I'm not being too optimistic of those chances.

Good news: I can get this done in time to wear at Comic Con and be proud of the work I've done. I still have a lot to do, but this is a five-day work week (9/80 schedule) and having this project to come home to makes me really happy.

Oops, how did this picture get in here? My ratties keep me company throughout the sewing process, but it was getting warm so I just let them hang out in my rat-hoodie. Bailey was being cute about trying to get close to the sewing machine when it was stopped. When it started again they both went right back into the hoodie.
