Zombie Ball 2019 - Baron Samedi reads your Tarot cards ....
Actually, I was underwhelmed at Zombie Ball - they said @200 tickets had been purchased, but there were not 200 zombies in attendance. I actually had time to walk around, get some snacks - unlike Mardi Gras in March when I had an unending line of Querents at all times.
Don’t I look Good? Hopefully, the museum will post pix by their photographers on their website in a couple of days.
My Tarot Reader’s costume for the Zombie Ball - modification of Baron Samedi. I had just gotten the bone t-shirt in, so I didn’t do the skeleton face make-up or twirl my handlebar mustache yet. As cheaply as I started this costume, it got expensive towards the end; hopefully, I will make enough reading Tarot to cover all the costume costs.
PS - the skeleton heads on the hat light up!

Zombie Pub Crawl, Northampton, MA. Although I did not wear my entire Baron Samedi costume, I did wear my decorated top hat to the Zombie Pub Crawl to see how it works because everything that gets added to the hat adds to its weight, and I have to keep it on my head all night.
My partner at the bar was attacked by Zombie Pumpkins...
Working on zombie bones jewelry ... also some attached to tailcoat .... I can tell I have been influenced by the show I was watching about the Freemasons - love their ceremonial accouterments! I am being careful about how the jewelry is attached so as not to damage the tailcoat’s satin lapels - which I just bought and need for other events.
Still have not finished the hat - need to wait until new sale at Joann's to start tomorrow so I can use my 60% off coupon to buy the final embellishment.
Top hat for Zombie Ball - still in the finishing stages.
I have a real, collapsible top hat (I have had it for years), and last year for Christmas I tried a modification using black plastic canvas and attaching holly and lights to the plastic mesh and leaving my hat intact - which worked very well.
This time I am making a hat for when I read Tarot in two weeks at ‘Zombie Ball’ - I hate zombies! Can’t wait for that trend to go away! Why is walking around in ripped clothes covered in fake blood so appealing? I bought a black tailcoat and I am going to go in a much-modified version of Baron Samedi (think Geoffrey Holder in ‘Live & Let Die’) and read Tarot dressed like that. This way all my clothes stay intact and I can use them for other things.
When it is all together, I shall post a shot or two.
