Meet the managers

Ghost Jewel is quiet, doesn’t talk very much. Her skin is nearly translucent due to an overdose on medication during extreme reeducation measures. She also suffers from insomnia because of mental torture. Because of her quiet nature, she can easily sneak up on unsuspecting ‘joys. She acts as a maid for the hotel.

Zombie Gal is slightly reckless and loves to laugh. She likes to sleep late and can be grumpy if awakened for no good reason. She’s missing the last two fingers on her right hand due to a clap accident. Her right eye is glass, from torture at the hands of BLI during extreme reeducation measures. Very rarely does she not have a wound on her from claps or carelessness. She never wears a shirt over her bikini top, and the bottoms can be seen through the holes in her jeans. Her job at the hotel is the cook.

Corpse Groom is Dead Bride’s husband. He used to be one of the voices behind BLI’s tape recordings, and was allowed certain privileges such as being exempt from the pills. However, those privileges were revoked when he was found transmitting messages to killjoys about where to find entrances to the city, when patrols were being dispatched to the Zones, and when supply trucks were entering the city from other states. As punishment, BLI cut out his tongue and tossed him into the Zones. Since Ghost Jewel was the one to teach him ASL on their first meeting, he mostly communicated with her. His job is maintenance and bellhop.

Dead Bride is lively despite her killjoy name. She never had to take pills because of her husband’s job. Still, their behavior was monitored. She suffered many lacerations and scars at the hands of BLI when her husband was outed. She’s never wanted to try and have kids, because she feels raising one in the Zones would be too hard a life for the child. But she enjoys any children that come into the motel and makes sure them and their parents (if they have any) are given a good meal. Her job is receptionist at the front desk.
