Zombie #6 - Father eats son's eyes.

This is an older story from 2009 but I think it still belongs on here.

On April 28, 2009 Angelo Mendoza attacked his 4 year old son.

Court documents said neighbors checked on Mendoza's son, Angelo Jr., after they noticed the father acting nervously and fleeing from his east Bakersfield apartment in his wheelchair. Inside, they found little Angelo naked and bleeding. Police said the boy had numerous bites to his hands and his eyes were swollen shut. Doctors said the boy's left eye and muscle were completely missing. His other eye was mutilated beyond repair. The boy told them, "My daddy ate my eyes out." Rodriguez said meanwhile Mendoza approached him at a neighbor's vacant house down the street.

Rodriguez said the boy's father wheeled himself into the front yard and asked Rodriguez to play with him and a pet dog. He was wearing boxers and a sweater. When Rodriguez refused, Mendoza got off his wheelchair and dragged himself into a back yard, where he found an ax.

By then Mendoza had stripped naked. He chained himself to a tree in the back yard and began hacking at his leg with a pickax while yelling incoherently.

"He told me to look into the sun and pray with him. I was kinda scared for a minute," said Rodriguez.

Then Rodriguez jumped on Mendoza and wrestled the ax away.

"As soon as I grabbed the ax he tried to bite me, and I had to hold him down with my knee. There was dry blood around his mouth. I don't know if it was his own, but I'm pretty sure it was his son's now that I hear the story," said Rodriguez.

The police report said Mendoza appeared to be under the influence of PCP. Rodriguez said had he known about little Angelo, the outcome would have been different. I cannot find anything saying whether the man was drug tested after the incident. I can't imagine what this poor boy is going through now, he was definitely old enough to be able to remember this and I'm so sorry for that. I hope he was adopted by a good family and isn't still in custody of Child Protective Services.

Zombie #5 - Mother eats her 3 1/2 week old baby's brain.

Officers called to the home early Sunday found the boy's mother, Otty Sanchez, sitting on the couch with a self-inflicted wound to her chest and her throat partially slashed, screaming "I killed my baby! I killed my baby!" Before the police had gotten to the house, Otty had eaten the child's face, toes, and brain. She was claiming the devil had made her do it.

Sanchez's aunt, Gloria Sanchez, said her niece had been "in and out" of a psychiatric ward but did not say where she was treated or why. She said a hospital called several months ago to check up on her. "Otty didn't mean to do that. She was not in her right mind," a sobbing Gloria Sanchez told The Associated Press on Monday by phone. She said her family was devastated.

Investigators are looking into Sanchez's mental health history to see if there was anything "significant," and whether postpartum difficulties could have factored into the attack. This is a possibility to me because many women who have killed their babies blamed God or the Devil after it was over. But never have I heard of them actually eating the baby.

This occurred a week after the child's father moved out, McManus said. Otty Sanchez's sister and her sister's two children, ages 5 and 7, were in the house, but none were harmed.

Zombie #4 - Man eats roommate's heart and brain.

Earlier today, Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old Morgan State University student, admitted to murdering his roommate Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, who was reported missing last Friday. 

Kinyua's father called police late Tuesday night when Kinyua's brother reportedly found human remains -- a head and two hands -- in a metal tin in the basement. The brother and father left the room for a short time, but when they came back, the body parts had been moved and Kinyua was washing out the tin, the paper reported.

Officers searched the house and arrested Kinyua. The man allegedly confessed a shocking revelation: not only had he killed Agyei-Kodie by cutting him up with a knife and then dismembered him, he ingested parts of the victim's brain and all of his heart. He then allegedly dropped most of the remains in a Dumpster behind a church in Joppatowne.

It's yet unclear what Kinyua's motive may have been, but he was charged with first-degree murder on Wednesday. In another incident on May 20, he was charged with first-degree assault when he allegedly beat a fellow student randomly with a baseball bat and then fled into the woods.

Zombie (or pre-zombie rather?) #3 - The blood spitting doctor.

A doctor was arrested this week on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after he nearly sideswiped a Florida Highway Patrol captain’s car, banged his head on the inside of a patrol car and spat blood into a sergeant’s face, a report shows. Zachary Bird, 41, was northbound on the Central Florida GreeneWay near Curry Ford Road about 1:30 a.m. Sunday and apparently was speeding when his car almost hit the captain’s car, which also was northbound, the report states.

Bird had alcohol on his breath, his eyes were glassy and bloodshot and he was unsteady on his feet, a trooper wrote. He refused to provide a blood sample. Bird was arrested on a charge of DUI about 2 a.m. after failing field-sobriety tests.

A trooper found $40,000 in his pockets and another $14,000, two handguns — a .44-caliber revolver and a .45-caliber semiautomatic. 

Once again the man was in possession of drugs and an unidentified liquid. 

The drugs and liquid were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for analysis. Video from a trooper’s car shows Bird banging his head against a partition inside a patrol car until blood runs down his face. Bird accused troopers of stealing his money, the report states. Bird became enraged, spat a mouthful of blood into the sergeant’s face and eyes and kicked the door so hard that he damaged the hinges, the report states. The car required several hundred dollars worth of repair and cleaning by a hazardous-materials team, said Sgt. Kim Montes, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman. Zombie #1 - The Causeway Cannibal.

Last weekend a man was attacked by a nude man who ate and digested 80% of his face. Rudy Eugene had to be shot six times before he stopped eating the other man's face. The first time he was shot, he simply growled at the officer and continued chewing on the other man. His friends and girlfriend have said he was a very kind person and didn't have a single violent bone in his body, so what caused him to do this? The media is blaming the terrible (and sadly legal) bath salts, saying they drove him to madness and have a side effect of "unnatural cravings." In my opinion, they chose the bath salt explanation due to his past arrest for marijuana possession and they have yet to discover any drugs in an autopsy, because they did it would be case closed already. His girlfriend has come out to say that he was not on drugs but was under a voodoo curse, but never states how he could have become cursed in the first place. I hope they keep an eye on the poor unlucky man that got attacked while he's in the hospital, who knows if what cause Rudy to attack him is contagious or not.
