With the functions of its DigiCore halted, Plutomon—a Digimon that typically enjoys a long life—has become a strange being whose body is simply going through the motions. It no longer possesses any free will, nor does it punish evil, having lost its sense of purpose too. Cursed by its undying DigiCore to wander endlessly, it can no longer contemplate anything but the indiscriminate consumption of others' data. A fearsome predator in a completely different sense when it was alive, ZombiePlutomon's decaying flesh ensures that its hunger will never be sated, no matter how many DigiCores it devours.

In its special move Hazardous Hold, ZombiePlutomon absorbs data from its prey's DigiCore until they decay. With Hell Slicer, it launches sickle-shaped X-particles from its left hand to carve up enemies, and finally, when using Marionette abomination, ZombiePlutomon bites foes and infects them with its own virus, turning them into puppets it can manipulate.
