Moooar Zomega with a dash of Erin Frame thrown in! (Don't ask about Erin if you don't know her -- suffice to say that she's my trademark OC from the BLoSC fandom and just leave it at that!)
The upper page was just some studies, developing Zomega's look. The sketch of her smoking was deliberately detective noir -- I had Humphrey Bogart in my head even though I've never seen any of his detective films!
Zomega and Erin together... Ice and Fire. Erin is all youth and passion, and Zomega is all experience and serenity. The only picture I have of them together.
Zomega, pencil and then gouache paint. Zomega is an interesting character of mine: she started out as an OC for Buzz Lightyear of Star Command fic, but I would really like to try to make her the heroine of her own original story. She's sort of an ethical criminal. She smuggles and brokers information and is sort of a Jack of all trades as far as the Fringe goes, but she won't hurt innocent people and in fact hunts down those who do. She believes in morality -- she simply doesn't believe in the laws of mortals.
Zomega's character design was hugely inspired by Major Motoko Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Her characterization, on the other hand, is a conglomeration of Major Kusanagi and Talon Karrde and Mara Jade from the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
