(Spoiler - We got pretty excited...)
Zoner Max: Ace Reporter has always been two birds wearing a bird hat. It was clearly there in the subtext the entire time. The feather suit is fantastic.
The Mannequin Goddess smiles like the Joker as she begins her transformation into a UFO. The dodo-like scorched walks before her like a pet.
A two-nosed boar teleports in on the right.
In the top right corner of the photo, a happy, cuddly, multi-legged forest spirit wanders by...
Deeper in the forest, in the top, another can be seen.
Closer to us, on the bottom left, a littler forest spirit is posing for the camera.
I like this game...

Episodes 7, 8, 9, & 10
What are these strange, green stones floating in front of me...? What is this green energy? The same energy flowing behind... the creature?
Episode 7 - “Setting up camp, cooking food, scrapping junk, collecting materials...and then I find the dead body of Scott Shephard.” 2:09:27
Episode 8 - “The Strange Green Stones” 21:43
Episode 9 - “Exploring another summer camp... madness again. A mutation takes hold and I have Eagle Eyes now. I continue down the road, around the curve... and then I start finding sinkholes (syncwholes)... I camp beside one, sleeping beside it, doing magic with it... And then suddenly... some sort of giant bat creature appears in the sky.” 57:15
Episode 10 - “A strange circle of mannequins...” 20:36
It is absolutely worth noting that the creature appeared immediately after doing magic with the sinkholes (syncwholes). I stood inside them, praising the universe, communing with the universe, conjuring strangeness and happiness and synchronicity, a synchromystic evocation... and then it was there, flying through the sky. The creature who may or may not be the Flatwoods Monster or Mothman I had been talking about the entire game.
I know it could see me.
Synchromystica Roleplay continues on Fallout 76....
(All the most important parts were recorded, but the footage gets a little weird in 8, 9, and 10. Clearly the cause of this was the cosmic level of magic we were channeling, but hypothetically one could argue that it was the wifi signal, so my friend and I are drilling some holes and putting in a landline. Stay groovy!)
Mannequins
And so it is revealed that Zoner Max is not the only one having strange thoughts about the mannequins...
This is an excellent video by TheEpicNate315 covering some very interesting Fallout theories, the first of which relates directly to Zoner’s experiences.
It turns out that there are quite a few people out there who believe that the mannequins are alive. The pre-war mannequins make an excellent case for this, as does the note found on the crashed boat that was transporting them.
I can't wait to drop these damn mannequins off! The crew is starting to claim that they are hearing weird noises from the cargo, maybe they are just playing pranks on me? Whatever, we are almost there.
The mannequin with the machete is a pretty noteworthy clue as well.
The mannequins are ominously present throughout the wasteland... While I had entertained the idea that they might by alive during previous games, after playing Fallout 76 it seems undeniable.
And I don’t believe that they are synths either.
I imagine them as similar to the statues in the Red Room in twin peaks, goddesses and angels moving at different speeds in time so that they seem motionless to mortal eyes.
The video above covers five different Fallout theories. Part one is about the supernatural nature of the mannequins. Part three is about the secret lair of the God of the Children of Atom...
The one called The Mother of the Fog...
And who is in the lair of that God, standing right out in the open?
A mannequin...
Could one of the mannequins be the God of the Children? Or could there be a person wearing those Stealth Boys who is under the control of the mannequins?
Interestingly, the gnomes are shown in this theory video along with the mannequins. In Zoner’s first episode, as he was leaving the Vault, he spoke to several. He talked about being friends with the gnomes, growing up with them...
...and the gnomes laughed.
The nature of Pack Mannequins in relation to all of this should certainly be thought about as well.
Here’s another poetic coincidence to consider...
It has been proven that Fallout 76 includes code from many of the previous Bethesda games. Not just from other Fallouts, but from Skyrim as well. and in Skyrim, a common “glitch” with the mannequins... is that sometimes they will just start walking around.
Now, I’m not saying any code from the Skyrim mannequins made it into Fallout 76. Even if it did, the Fallout mannequins are not the same type of object as the Skyrim mannequins.
Nevertheless, code from the mystic fantasy world of the Elder Scrolls exists is in the sci-fi world of Fallout 76... And in both worlds the mannequins are acting strange.
So maybe Zoner wasn’t imagining things when he when made love with that goddess...
That beautiful mannequin...
(To be continued...)
Episodes 14, 15, &16
A space monkey for the alien/forest/god shrine. A Nuka Cherry for the mystery... Signs and portents... A desire for coffee... And it turns out there’s a hyper-intelligent dog out there somewhere, doing math and solving problems. She is our Master now.
Episode 14 - “What tribute for the Gods?” 27:11
Episode 15 -”WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE’S NO COFFEE!?” 30:05
Episode 16 - “High School” 3:41:22
There was no coffee at Slocum Joe’s. And so, with the lighthouse still visible on the Western horizon, Zone Max: Ace Reporter, continues along the path... straight to the mannequins who might be gods...
They were waiting for him again. Two male, two female. Two clothed, two nude. A petrified human, green ribbons of energy pulsing through him, frozen in the ecstasy of death... And of course, SHE was amongst them... The goddess he worshiped... The goddess he made love with...
Closer and closer to his Overseer’s next location, strange messages began to appear on Zoner’s PipBoy. The PipBoy told him there was a junkyard which must be claimed, and it did not tell him why.
A strange satellite threatened to extend itself from the junkyard’s workshop. Despite his growing concerns about the motivations of Vault-Tec, Zoner Max decided to play along. Just before the final step in the device’s activation, however, another message appeared.
To activate the device and raise the satellite would be a declaration of war against my fellow Vault dwellers. A challenge of combat to the death.
Zoner leapt back. What was Vault-Tec’s doing? Why would they want us to fight each other? And were they intentionally trying to distract him from finding the Overseer? Were these PipBoy commands programmed years ago? Or was there somebody out there trying to manipulate him in real time? Somebody monitoring him at that very moment?
A flock of vertibirds flew by, battling some robot or drone, and the time for speculation became the time for action as Zoner Max: Ace Reporter sprinted after them into the forest.
Chasing after helicopters was a long shot, but he had to try. Was the military still functioning? Did the vertibirds belong to someone else? Had they been stolen?
Zoner wasn’t able to track the helicopters, but he found a Responder’s HQ at the train station where he ended up instead.
Back at the junkyard, he found something significantly stranger.
Far from any tree, a tire swing was floating. It’s rope ascended far into the sky, before vanishing, like hindu mystic.
The Ace Reporter kicked at the rope swing, pulled at it, swung on it, and still it did not fall. It pivoted from the point it left reality.
Zoner continued along the lonesome road until he made it to the border of Morgantown. A massive C.A.M.P. had been built there, surrounded by turrets.
Within these walls, Zoner Max had his first encounter with a person who didn’t want to kill him since leaving Vault 76. Like most other humans Zoner had met, this one seemed incapable of speech. He was wearing a PipBoy that pinged on Zoner’s map, but his face was always covered. There was no way for Zoner to tell if he was actually from Vault 76... if they were old friends or strangers.
(When checking his recordings later, Zoner would learn that his companian could speak, Zoner couldn’t hear him. He could hear their voices in the recordings, but could not hear them at the time they were interacting. Why!? Clearly Zoner was much more insane than he thought...)
And what painting did this new or old friend have displayed upon his wall?
A painting of a lighthouse.
Of course.
And it was on this day that Zoner finally found his Overseer’s high school.
Episodes 5 & 6
Time to get serious. Time for Zoner Max: Ace Reporter to put his feet on the ground and start investigating. At the top of the hill is a satellite station. From here one can call for supply packages from (according to the label at least) the government. Investigations need to happen.
Episode 5 - “Does the United States government still exiWHAT THE HELL!? THE DEAD ARE RISING? THE DEAD ARE RISING!?!? AAAAAAAAAH!!!” 55:29
Episode 6 - “Sorry, now as I was saying... Does the AAAAAAAAH! THERE ARE GHOSTS NOW TOO!!! I’M AT JASON’S SUMMER CAMP AND THERE ARE GHOSTS!!! GHOOOSTS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!” 36:51
Zoner Max: Ace Reporter is doing... great... just great...
Episode 4
Zoner Max, Ace Reporter, gathers his emotions. Time to build a camp, and time to figure out food.
Episode 4 - In which Zoner Max goes pantless a lot sooner than he expected. 3:19:25
The night before Reclamation Day, Zoner had a strange dream, one that is still on his mind... It turns out there was at least one survivor on the outside, a woman in Flatwoods, who was having prophetic, strange dreams as well.
There is a man named Scott Shepherd, listed among the volunteers who signed up for the Responders. It is said that Shepherd has supernatural theories for what is going on...
Zoner has some questions for him, if he’s still alive.
Synchromystica Roleplay continues on Fallout 76...
