Ghaleb Hawila, "Migrating Letters", Acrylic on Canvas (Artworks on display @p21_gallery now) "Migrating Letters" is a collaborative work between the artist and refugee children where play and art intermingle in beautiful splashes of paint and calligraphic verses. Ghaleb draws these verses calligraphically over giant canvases painted on by the children and then crops them into more than fifty pieces. She painted a series of artworks that trace her path from moving from her hometown in Deir Ez Zor, to Damascus then Lebanon at the onset of war in Syria in 2011.
