Zoning Change “The High-line”, By Ahmed Jawdat
Commons Description: After the high-line park was proposed by the “Friends of the high-line” and its design was approved, the city approved a Zoning change for the west Chelsea area, and applied specific rules to the buildings adjacent to the high-line, to preserve the park and allow the maximum amount of light and air to pass through it so that the adjacent buildings could engage with the park, and the Re-Zoning regulations becomes the Commons.
