I haven't seen you on my page in a while, which is especially strange because I put up some new posts last Saturday (posts from my favorite zoo, I might add). Is everything alright?

I’m focusing on my dissertation. Which means I’m reading Tumblr as I find the time. Usually, I go through everyone I’m following and I look at what they have posted. I can’t do that for the next few months. I started tracking my time in order to figure out why I can’t get the amount of time in per day on my dissertation what I want to have. I realized when I looked over my time tracking (via OfficeTime) that I’m going to have to “steal” minutes here and there. I’m going to have to cut out 15 minutes here, 5 minutes there, on various and assorted things. Tumblr and elephants is one of them. :\ It’s not what I want to do, it is what I have to do. My interest in elephants is a serious hobby, but I have to shift my focus for the time-being and get my dissertation done ASAP. The completion of the dissertation has to be the priority over my hobbies.
I’ve queued up enough posts over the summer that I will have one post per day come out on this blog through the New Year.
Once I have defended and submitted my full dissertation to The Graduate School, I’m hoping I can read Tumblr more thoroughly again. Until then….
