SoMa Buddy Cop AU stuff under the cut

Because I can’t get this damn thing out of my head.

Maka lived with Spirit helping him run a little book shop in a small neighborhood near Death City, but she always had a dream of becoming a cop.

When she is finally recruited and moves to DC she’s the only woman in that particular department, so she ends up getting a lot of flack, obviously.

Killik Is the friendly front desk guy she befriends on the first day?

I’m not sure who to make the police chief. 

Stein is the missing person she’s challenged to find? (And Marie his wife, obviously!)

Black Star is Soul’s partner in crime. (because seriously who else is it gonna be?)

Soul still keeps his backstory of not being able to live up to his brother, but here he turns to a life of conning people instead.

Medusa = Bellwether (I think it fits. They’ve both got the whole ‘seeming like a good guy at first but turning out to be the villain’ thing going on.)

Black Blood = Night howlers? 

Though I’m still not sure exactly what Medusa’s doing with it.

And of course, by the end Soul is Maka’s partner. 

Aaannd this is all I’ve got so far. There are still roles I’m not sure how to cast and plot points I’m not sure how to translate, but I’m way to invested in this and just wanted to write some ideas down.
