Happy Friday Everyone, and Happy New Year!
You’re more active and fit now than you were when you were younger! Is that you? If so, sign up for the 2019 Senior Olympic Festival and compete! You don’t need medals for your efforts, although they’re nice. You just need the satisfaction of knowing you’re still a winner! Pick your sport and go show the youngsters how it’s done! Or check out tomorrow’s up and coming baseballers during the Perfect Game Four Corners Invitational being held at Kino Sports Complex. These kids are some of the best young players in the country. If tennis is your game you might enjoy watching the World Tennis Tour’s Men’s $25,000 tournament at Westward Resort and Spa this weekend.
And then there were eight! If your football team is playing in the divisional playoffs this weekend, good luck. If you need a good laugh after they lose, visit the Zoppe’ Family Circus performance in the Mercado District starting on Sunday. They are back for the 9th year in a row and guaranteed to get you out of your depression.
Did you grow up with great doo-wop and rhythm & blues music? Then don’t miss The Temptations and The Four Tops, together on stage at Centennial Hall Sunday night. Does anyone still write and perform music like My Girl anymore?
It’s wintertime in the desert so get out an enjoy those 60 degree temperatures.
