couplea spinda/zor crosses. probably part of the wild zor pack i'm planning on introducing to fog's lore eventually.
they're littermates who came from an unethical breeder i think. they're both at least somewhat disabled by the spinda dizziness, and neither of them can hunt well. the zoroark is an accomplished battler for the pack, weaponizing her unsteadiness with moves like teeter dance and using illusions to make opponents feel as dizzy as her to level the playing field. the 'rua is affected more heavily than his sister, enough that it makes fighting and stealth hard for him, and serves as a sentry at one of the pack's stationary camps.
a weird old lady for Fog's lore. known as Grandmother Somnus, she's the matriarch of the Centerwoods zor pack, whose territory covers the Entralink and the woods around it. she's been living in Entree Forest for longer than anyone alive can remember and has a deep connection to the Dreaming that fuels her powerful illusions. Instead of a normal ghostfur's spiteful energy, her mane trails off into dream mist.
zorua have fairly wolf-like pack structures; nickit have red fox-style skulks; fennekin are extinct in the wild and so their natural social behavior is fairly undocumented; vulpix have high rates of polygyny and female-female pairbonding to raise kits due to their low male ratio, usually with several territories under the protection of a single ninetales (which are very rare in the wild due to being stone evos)
worldbuilding notes: zoroark hair beads are made of crystallized darktype energy. the ones they gain upon evolution are made of pure dark crystal, and are plain spherical beads.
wild zoroark living in packs tend to replace these with more decorative clay or wood beads infused with dark crystal; traditions for materials and styles vary from pack to pack. some wild zoroark will also add more beads for decorative or symbolic purposes.
zoroark with trainers usually keep their original beads or replace them with glass or plastic ones.
lone zoroark without any influence from a pack often can't replace damaged beads, and will find other ways to tie their manes back, such as ribbons or hair ties looted from humans.
i didn't get back to writing i got distracted thinking up names for wild zors. i think they (the centerwoods pack at least) have like. puritan virtue names, but for things zors consider virtues. Cunning, and Discretion, and Deerling (they change their coats for camouflage, which is something for a young zor to aspire to).
"Fog" also falls into this pattern--that which cloaks and obscures. (you would think Smoke was that too but Campfire Smoke is actually a translation of a zorrish word meaning like. "smoke that warns of human presence." on account of how he was always following N around as a kit)
