He could feel his insides eating each other. In other words, he was really hungry. He regretted skipping his breakfast today, but he couldn't be late for work today. Even though his class was cancelled, he was called early for work. Sure, he could have said no, and lie, and say he was busy, but who was he kidding?
One, he wasn't someone that lied, unless it was a dangerous situation. Two, Lu Han couldn't say no because he liked money. And finally three, unlike most people, including people at work, he actually liked his job. Usually the way Lu Han's daily routine was that he would eat only eat two full meals a day and a small snack for lunch.
He knew it wasn't healthy, and so did the spirit inside him, but this was a big step up for him considering he used to eat only once a day. He was on the verge of dying that time, but luckily the spirit was inside him to help him recover and prevent his death. That day, he knew that he had to take more care of himself, not only for him, but for Zhu Que.
Back to his routine, he would eat a hearty breakfast when he wakes up, go to class, drink a healthy green smoothie for lunch, and then go to work. For dinner, he would cheat and get something from a fast food chain, or eat ramen. He would get nagged for that, but he did tell himself that he would learn to cook, and eat a better dinner.
Lu Han looked at his watched and calculated the time he had left for break, and how long it would take for him to get back. For once, Lu Han used his break time to get something to eat. Luckily he knew that there was a small cafe near, and he could just eat there and just walk back with extra time to spare. He looked up and noticed that it was very hot.
The sun was shinning bright and the heat was overwhelming. His index finger and thumb pinched the collar of his polo and he vigorously shook his shirt, trying to air his chest, but it was no use. Beads of sweat was forming on his forehead, but luckily he reached his destination. He quickly reached out to hold the handle and pulled the door open so he could quickly enter.
He let out a breath and hummed happily as the cold air from the cafe hit his skin. He pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe the remaining sweat from his forehead and immediately got in line. He stood behind someone who was unusually the same height as him, and had the same shape of head.
Mentally he shrugged and waited for his turn to order. He tapped his foot in a rhythmic pattern, but that soon interrupted when he saw the customer in front of him getting bumped into by someone else. Naturally he turned his head to see who it was, but they were gone, and he tried to see if the other was okay, but a voice called him.
His head looked over to the cashier and she was holding out a card, and he took it to see what it was, before looking at the cashier once more. "Your card sir.. Isn't it your card?" Lu han was confused because how could it be? He hadn't even ordered let alone take out his wallet. It was strange to him. He looked down and reached out to the male.
It must have belonged to him, naturally because he was the one ordering. He tried to help the male up and smiled. "Are you okay si--" His sentence was cut off, and his smile disappeared once he saw something that was unexpected.
