The screen on his phone read, and Chase reassured himself that being fifteen minutes late was perfectly fine as opposed to being two hours late to most, if not all of his meetings with Sera, his lawyer. For someone in his line (of illicit occupation that required him to finish his job within minutes), he wasn't very good at keeping time and being punctual to trivial meetings.
After locking up his motorbike, he ran a hand through his hair to muss it up and tucked his helmet under his arm before heading into the small store. Sure, he didn't need this job, but it has been slightly more than a month since he left Cafe au Lait and Sera hasn't stopped nagging him. Everyday, in meetings, on the phone or even on text, she'd be telling him the same thing, all along the lines of him "not knowing how important it was for him to get a job to cover up what he was doing", and "all the efforts she put in to launder his money for him and he couldn't do the least to help himself". And so when he was on the phone being chided as usual and saw the job notice stuck to the bulletin board, he used it to shut his lawyer up.
A soft bell chimed when he opened the door and stepped in. The place was relatively small, but then again, the notice did seem to be of substandard anyway so it was probably expected. What he didn't expect was, to see a familiar figure standing at the counter. The other was slightly taller than he remembered, but it was a face that fell under his fist before (repeatedly) and he'd never forget.
With a scoff of disbelief, he called out to the other, "Oh Sehun?"
