hey so youtube is doing even worse shit

i accidentally opened up a youtube link (i am still actively boycotting and avoiding yt, just clicked on a link without thinking) and i see this button

and apparently it's. an option to ask questions about the contents of the video to their built-in AI???

i figure some of these questions are to further train the AI to better be able to analyze video content and relay "accurate" summaries. I feel like I don't even need to explain how dangerous it is to allow people the option to be spoonfed media comprehension from an AI. we have already seen in the news and online how AI consistently gives incorrect or otherwise misleading information that can cause deluded thinking and even can be dangerous, but it also literally limits human brain function.

this is terrifying. convenience should not ever triumph over truth.

if body craft is as crazy as the game claims it can be I feel there’s gotta be people walking around who went through years of intensive body craft to look like their fursona or an alien or whatever

just had a thought about a postcanon loop given a physical body again but the entire head is scarred with burns, like it was set on fire (the star,)

unpopular opinion I think but I really like the whole “loop will never be siffrin again” thing

like what if through body craft or some other wish they are now given the chance to choose who they want to be. I mean after going through what they did it would be understandable as hell for them to not feel attached to being the person they were before all of it. not to mention we have no idea how much/little they remember, we know they remember the information present in the loops and some stuff about their relations to the party members.

but like… think about them finally getting the chance to choose for themselves who they want to be. try to fit themselves back into a universe they didn’t initially belong in, on their own terms as a new person. I think they deserve the chance to get to do that, not feel tied to the trauma of what they “should/could have been.” I think a conversation with isa would help them start to come to terms with the idea to let go of the past.

Course it’s not gonna be easy at first. Loop to me struggles with depersonalization like CRAZY so asking them to imagine an ideal self is pretty much impossible at first. That new self gets built slowly over time, through experimentation and through just learning again about themselves.

jax also lightly misgendered zooble twice in this new episode. with the mention of “damsel” and earlier when talking to caine referring to “the girls and i”

I don’t think this is an unnecessary addition though given how jax is definitely implied to be having very unresolved gender stuff going on with him, and jax’s typical response to inner tension is to just make everyone else the punchline but himself. i mean jax of all people is the one getting mad at caine for being a “liar,” he’ll point fingers at anyone else for a perceived “weak point” he avoids in himself before he’ll actually admit to anything. taking it out on zooble is just a roundabout self-flagellation.

ouuughhh every time I see a new way somebody draws siffrin I am soooo charmed……. and promptly consider drawing siffrin a new way myself. I have so much trouble deciding how I wanna draw them especially in terms of their hair……. and I keep wanting to change it up but I get so scared …. What if people don’t like it…..

now I’m seeing people saying that this episode was written badly because the characters believed abel too fast and were acting “uncharacteristically”

i mean in their situation i think it makes complete sense to still go along with abel even while being skeptical for the small chance that it is legit. what other choice do they have? why would they squander this opportunity even if abel’s not completely trustworthy? the promise of a chance to leave after the hell these people have all gone through might make them look past some red flags, or at least go along with the plan anyway. the only one that seemed the least on board was jax, and even besides what we know about jax’s potential desire to not want to leave the circus, he is also the one that has the most distrust in caine and might not perceive him as harmless as the others do.

ragatha not sticking up for pomni at the end was her being her typical self of being overly doubtful and sometimes not sticking by her word. zooble getting frustrated with pomni was understandable because they knew that this was their one chance to leave, and they’re right, caine would know they’re in there anyway so what did it matter if they pressed the button? zooble still thinks caine is generally harmless after all. and zooble and gangle weren’t going to leave kinger out of it, after all he also just as much as everyone else deserves the chance to escape.
