HOTEL ZUIHO SAKURA RIKYU@Akiu onsen, Miyagi
When I was an university student in Sendai, I visited HOTEL ZUIHO for the first time and was impressed by the pond in which carps swim. The onsen bath was so spacious and comfortably deep, besides water from hot spring source flowed into steadily that I felt luxury.
This time（2019）I stayed in an annex, SAKURA RIKYU. The guest room was extraordinary large. A long low table in our largest room was lifting type. When we came back from dinner, the table had gotten stored under the tatami floor and on there laid out the futon. An audio device was equipped. There was a small study with an PC desk. If I had arrived earlier, I could have done a lot more with them.
As for the private outdoor bath, we added cold water into pouring hot spring source to adjust its temperature. While soaking in the bath I could look up and see the autumn foliage.
I heard the trees around Akiu onsen usually stayed greenish even over autumn. I thought it was beautiful as well.
大学生のころ初めてここを訪ね、吹き抜けのこの池に鯉が泳いでいて、感動した記憶がある。瑞鳳の温泉は湯船が広くて、ちょうどよい深さで、お湯も勢いよくたっぷり降り注いで、とても贅沢な気持ちになる温泉だった。
櫻離宮の今回のお部屋はとても広かった。一番広い和室の長テーブルは昇降式で、夕食から戻ってきたら畳の下に収納され、布団が敷かれていた。オーディオもあり、PCデスクを備えた個室もあった。もっと早く到着していたらいろんな楽しみ方ができたかもしれない。
個室の露天風呂は源泉に加水して温度調整して入る。紅葉を見上げながら湯船につかることができる。
秋保のあたりの木々は、紅葉しても緑のままであるものが多いらしい。それもまた美しい。
