All the illnesses, mixed with the fact that I could barely eat or sleep properly because of them, kind of fucked up my mental health. I'm feeling weak and exhausted and extremely depressed. It really feels like everything I try to do just in my daily life is mentally and physically too painful or strenuous. Damn I hate depression spirals
Is there a name for the pain you feel when a character you love turns out to have died at some point and been replaced by someone using their body? And when the reveal happens, you feel a sense of loss having not been able to properly mourn the character, but also anger that you spent emotional energy loving a character who was an imposter for like an entire season?
In a similar vein, there’s the pain you feel when you adore a character who eventually turns out to have been using the body and personality of someone you didn’t get to know. And when you learn about the character they were using, you mourn someone you never met and wish you had.
Anyone uhhh feel these things ever? Is there a trope for either of these?
Unrelated to that, but somehow the boss’ boss really liked my new edits to the animation. That’s a huge relief because it was really stressing me out
Counting the unpublished fic chapters I wrote the past few months, since August 1st of last year I’ve written approximately 240,000 words of Digimon fanfic. I really haven’t engaged in any new media in a long time, so I really want to figure out a way to… stop writing fanfic. It’s becoming kind of a comfort activity for me, I guess? But it’s impeding my ability to have fun by watching/playing/reading new things
