      It comes as no surprise to Ventus that Xion handles their keyblade—identical to Sora’s, as far as he can tell—with practiced ease. From what little he’s learned about the experiences they, Lea and Roxas share, engaging in combat on the daily was a given, so it’s only natural that they’d know how to make good use of the weapon fate handed them.

      All within one sparring session, Aqua’s keen eyes deduce that their fellow guardian of light's style and strengths are fleshed out beyond their years. All that’s left is the introduction of structure. Better form, skill broadening and the like. In that regard, they’re the exact opposite of Ventus. He’s long since mastered his own form and experienced a bit of everything that Master Eraqus, Yen Sid and Aqua could aspire to impart. All that’s left is to truly hone what he’s learned, something he’s genuinely unsure he’s capable of doing prior to the day he’ll have to take his exam.

      Regardless, this wide berth between them doesn’t discourage the blonde from approaching Xion as they're wrapping up for the afternoon. Rather, he’s spurred on by what they have in common.

      “You were great, Xion! I couldn’t believe how fast you were moving!” His heart leaps and bounds as he speaks, bolstered by the hyper awareness that this is the first time he’s had a classmate his age. “How ‘bout your grand tour?” A thumb is jabbed over the boy’s shoulder, accenting the enthusiastic grin he wears perfectly. “If you’re gonna be training with me and Aqua, you should probably know your way around the castle.”

Okay, homo.

But being serious, I’ll go over the two of them individually, so my thoughts can be more gathered.

When it comes to Cagliostro, Saint-Germain does find her overly-feminine nature cute. While she, personally, has a very complex relationship with gender that she doesn’t quite get, instead opting to ignore her feelings on the matter completely, she’s really quite happy that Cagliostro has found such happiness in being a hot chick. She doesn’t understand how Cagliostro’s hair works, but she does think it’s cute, though she can’t say she feels the same way about her outfit. Saint-Germain is a very reserved person, after all--just being completely TITS OUT is a little much for her.

She admires how Cagliostro has genuinely worked to become a better person over all these years. Saint-Germain understands completely what it’s like to have to lie in order to get things, though she personally only did so in order to escape, you know, being beaten particularly bad as a child--but she honestly found Cagliostro’s quest to defraud idiotic nobles with fake alchemy absolutely hilarious. After having suffered so much at the hands of noblemen, she really didn’t care too much if they were humiliated by someone with a sharp tongue.

Overall, she’s really glad that Cagliostro cares so dearly for her and Prelati--the three of them are really inseparable, but Cagliostro especially was willing to put her life on the line to prevent either of them from being exposed to the powerful unison the Symphogears were able to achieve through the Fool’s Stone. (Also, she’s fully aware that Cagliostro is capable of dropping her voice, and she thinks it’s hot, but she would NEVER tell anyone, ever.)

As for Prelati, the two of them seem a little more similar upon first glance--their sense of style is the similar, though Prelati is certainly more “girly” than Saint-Germain, and both of them are a lot more dedicated to their research than Cagliostro really is. My personal headcanon is that Prelati specifically made her outfit...I think the idea that she can sew makes sense, as someone who’s looking to gather up every kind of knowledge she can get her little claws on. I also think she made her frog, and while Saint-Germain doesn’t quite get why she’s so attached to it, she can respect it. (The plush is a little weird, but it’s also cute, in a way.)

Prelati’s crimes before joining Saint-Germain were just a tad more heinous than Cagliostro’s, but the truth of the matter was that she simply let herself go down such a dark road because she was told “well, you’ll get better at alchemy if you participate in murder and kill Wednesdays.” Despite her promise to kill Prelati if she ever stepped out of line, the truth is that Saint-Germain knows that Prelati doesn’t have any inherent interest in such things. That was why she left Gilles de Rais to his fate, after all.

Prelati is definitely someone she can have, perhaps, more “serious” conversations about their research with (not to say Cagliostro is a complete airhead--she just isn’t nearly as passionate about studying as these two nerds). Prelati definitely sees Saint-Germain as a teacher, as someone with far greater knowledge than her, and while that’s true to some degree, Saint-Germain knows that she can learn things from her companion, whether intentional or not. Also, Prelati is small, and that means it’s a lot easier for Saint-Germain to completely embrace her than it is for her to do with Cagliostro. (Stop being so tall, Cagliostro.)
