I've been working on making tokens for creatures and NPCs for the last chapter in the campaign I'm running (Wild Beyond the Witchlight) and here are a few of my favourites so far!
Me, the DM, prepping my campaign 6 months ago : oh ! What a cool addition modules for 1 great sessions with a magical tower and some treasures. There is even a journal in it ! I could use it to tell something to my players, like a1little tips.
Me, when the Pcs found the journal : Its [Very Important NPC] personnal journal.
PCs : we wanna read it fully pls.
Me, the DM : leeet me a week or 2....
Me, the DM, after monthes of campaign : " So. Chapter 7 of the journal, we'll have a lecture for 1 hour straight, be careful its important"
....
Never loot a journal to your PCs when they like lore and your kinda a writer incapable of resuming things. ( '-')
