Where’s the human-safe zylkene?

WHERE’S THE HUMAN-SAFE ZYLKENE?

We are at the Vets this morning. A product that has been recommended is Zylkene which contains casein (also found in some human protein shakes). Casein is a milk protein that comes from cows and has calming effects. Milly has had separation anxiety for a long time and desensitiation hasn't worked, neither has adaptil collars and sprays. We've also tried the thunder coats. Poor guy.. put him back on Zylkene tonight hope that helps him settle down a bit and try to chill. He is not dealing well with watching the others come and go from the barn. :/ #stallrest #zylkene #thoroughbredsofinstagram #horsesofinstagram

Personal Zylkene Log

Keeping my thoughts here.

Day 1: No noticeable difference. For the first time in maybe his life, he went into one of the crates of his own volition and just sat there for about 10-15 mins. Don’t think this has anything to do with the Zy, but strange and worth noting. 

Day 2: Still not much difference. 

Day 3: Seems calmer than usual this morning, is not pacing or whining despite everyone being up and about. I have someone coming over to drop off a large package today, and they will need to come into the house to deliver it, so we shall see how he handles that.

EDIT to the above, it totally slipped my mind, but he did not get his usual evening walk last night due to me not feeling well and SO being too tired. Interesting to note his calmness despite no walk.
