          He knew it. Daryl knew it. When he saw the Walker, every muscle in his body tensed for a fight. At first, he reached for his crossbow, only to get the unpleasant reminder that he only one decent bolt. He’d torn off one of the prank bolt’s suction cups and sharpened the edge with a rock, but it wouldn’t do much even then. It would just have to be enough to look like a threat from a distance.

          After learning his lesson the first time he attacked a Walker (who turned out to be a kid), he tried a different approach. “Yo! Greenie. Hands up an’ turn around real slow unless ya want an arrow in the ass.”

perplexed eyes stare at the greenish creature lying on the streets, most likely unconscious. something about the creature screams monster, but also something remarkably human about the monster anyway. but, the creature is far from the strangest being he’s seen wandering around these streets -- he’s seen a variety of beings that look like ancient evils casually having meals in restaurants with humans. 

      what a world where humans and non-humans can coexist peacefully. 

giving creatures of this world the benefit of the doubt and fearing little for his life or safety, he approaches the creature soundlessly, each step making no noise on the concrete below. he bends down besides the creature, one hand carefully reaches out to lightly nudge the creature’s back. “are you alright?” he says gently, a mildly concerned expression on his face. “do you need any aid?” he reaches for the revealed face, hand held slightly in front of the creature’s nose. 

“oh dear... he’s dead.” he doesn’t look or sound surprised at all. death is but the natural end for all living things, after all.

“Ah...sir?” There was always one of these a week; at least. “You shouldn’t-- you can’t eat all of the free samples.” Mizi appreciated that his baking was received well, but one person wasn’t allowed to eat all of the free samples themselves. That wasn’t fair to the other customers. 

“Two is the limit. I’m sorry.”

So this person didn’t look like any of the others he’d encountered in the city. All of them were supposed to be soft, warm, and squishy. This guy? This guy looked gross as shit with his cold skin, dead eyes, weird smell.

“If you’re gonna croak, can you go hide in a corner where I don’t have to see you do it?”

 “Its closed.” he says as the bookstore comes into view. Of course its raining harder then ever before and it seemed wise to close shop early when the rain prevents any customers from entering the store to begin with. His companion , someone who is really green and gives him a sense of unease, is beside him.

Wow, okay. He’d been all set on figuring out an answer only to be hit with a response like that. Yomiel harrumphs.

“It’s not exactly polite to turn around and point out that you’d been asking just out of politeness in the first place,” he grumps. “I might not know at the moment, but I was ready to figure it out until I heard that.”

Don’t mind him, he just doesn’t like the implication that he wouldn’t know something...
