Because Avant Simon is the Simon from the prequel/teaser in episode one. In hindsight it makes a lot more sense than a name like Garlock Simon. Actually the Japanese fandom has cute nicknames in general, like Starlock is known as Cosmo.

Simon doesn’t really do a lot of status updates or play games on it. Overall he's not much for social media. But I'm sure Kamina is all for it and makes the dumbest posts ever. This question makes me confused.
¥ = How the character handles money or spends it:Simon tends to use money for practical or necessary things. When it comes to Nia, however, he’s weak and will let her splurg. He’ll get dragged around by her when she wants to shop for clothing and ends up carrying the bags.
(⑅ ‘﹃’ ) = What the character daydreams or thinks about:Being able to really explore the world beyond the region surrounding Kamina City and meet new people. Much of the world must have undergone a lot of change since the previous civilization.

½ = How the character feels about people taller or shorter than them:Having been a short teenager he can sympathize with people who hate to be short. I mean, he was just barely over five feet at fourteen. Such a small child. As for taller, he doesn’t really feel anything about that? Unless they’re massive and immensely intimidating like Lordgenome.
