LUCA PASQUALINO and BELLA MACLEAN as BAS BADDINGHAM and TAGGIE O'HARA in Rivals: Season 2, Episode 1.
welcome back, flowers in the attic: the origin
look at the way she smiles when she sees bas 😭
everything in this scene is perfect. acting, chemistry, dialogue, the way it’s shot… literally flawless
he’s trying SO hard to rationalize the fact his wife is cheating on him with zero respect. like she couldn’t even bother to hide it. and that it's Okay… it’s honestly kinda funny
i actually quite like maudtony but they literally burn through the screentime while the other characters and relationships don't have nearly as much screen time, and it really annoys me
this scene would not have hit the same without the chemistry and if the actors weren’t that good when it comes to body language
thanks god tumblr let you edit your posts, i didn't notice all the typos
i keep saying it every episode, but i really can’t stand how lizzie’s husband treats her. he’s vile
so at some level he clearly realized there’s something there, judging by how he reacted and how uncomfortable he was with how close they were.
can you believe #that part of the fandom was hating on bas/bastaggie and saying he doesn’t care about Taggie because he made a joke about his fivesome while ignoring that he showed up, visited her, and cooked her dinner for her birthday.
i like the dialogue that foregrounds its historical context. the same kind of thing was done in mad men, and it’s a good way to anchor the characters in the era in which they are supposed to live.
i really liked that scene between maud and monica, understated but good character work
the dog needs to be protected from all this chaos, honestly. let him live in peace.
i really, really love their dynamic
cameron really steals every scene she’s in, i adore her.
