The infamous "hangman ad" was the centerpiece of the 1985 Tommy Hilfiger company launch. Its subtext read: "In most households, the first three names are household words. Get ready to add another. His first name (hint) is Tommy. The second name is not so easy. But in a few short months everybody in America will know there's a new look in town and a new name at the top. Tommy's clothes are easy-going without being too casual, classic without being predictable. He calls them classics with a twist. The other three designers call them competition. © 1985 Murjani Intl"

1991 Mitchell & Ness (@mitchellandness_co) Cooperstown Collection authentic wool replicas. Many forget that Mitchell and Ness was pioneering the "throwback" market with ultra premium quality jerseys as early as the mid 80's. Before that they had supplied onfield jerseys to the NFL, MLB and PA area schools from the 1930s to the mid 60s. Despite a shift in the past two decades away from premium products and the acquisition by adidas in 2007 there's still a lot of great history behind this brand.
